What is your short term & long term vision for Marseille?

      Short Term:

When being appointed as the Marseille manger I inherited a squad with age on there side and having only 14 players with limited resources. I felt like the most respectable way round this was to go factory reset. I needed rid of the +30s mainly which I have managed to achieve then selling players in there late 20s would’ve been a bonus which I have nearly managed to achieve. With that money accumulated I had thoughts of investing this money into academy, scout, coaches & facilities however with the premium price I have decided to wait and bring in players as young as possible with potential. Compared to when I took over I have reduced the average age of the starting 11 down by 5 years, going from average age of 28 down to 23.

      Long Term:

With going factory reset I have reduced the age which has come at a cost of quality. For us to go forward we have to go backwards. Our aim is to be relegated this season in order for us to be able to invest for the future and build the foundations at a cheaper price. The plan is to buy into the academy as much as possible and hopefully within time reach back up to the big time

      Cheers for your questions AB

Aiming for relegation seems quite negative, will you be playing to win games in a hope for survival or playing for abs with the intention of losing and therefore relegation?

It does seem very negative, both outcomes haves its pros and cons. Obviously I’ll be playing the game just the same as anybody else in hope to achieve the highest place possible but I wouldn’t be disappointed if it did end up as us relegated. In our current state we have to be playing for the abs but at the same time we must even it out to try and get the 3 points each game.

          Cheers for your question Jason
