Disciplinary Points

Morning,
Just wondering what the deal is with disciplinary points?
Admittedly because it's not fallen in my favour I'm asking
It does seem a bit harsh though.
Lobotka at Real has been a bit of an angry man and racked up a fair bit.
He missed three games and then in our last match picked up one yellow and as a result he's now got to miss four more games? For getting one yellow it seems quite a fair few games to miss?
if it is what it is then that's fine but wanted to ask.

i beleive he was on 28 then he got a red and a 3 game ban taking him to 38. played a couple games, got a yellow and now 4 game ban lol
