    Burnley 1-1 MANCHESTER UNITED

Burnley are always chopping and changing approaches and today it worked well for them, in their favor, and pretty much controlled the game. We didn't offer much and can feel relieved we snuck a draw. We didn't deserve anything being truthful today, we just wasn't at it. What can we say, we drop to 3 points behind the front two but have to keep going in this title run in. We're good enough, but as has been our downfall over the last few seasons, one or to moments of inconsistency has hit us. We brush this one under the carpet and hope to right it on Monday.

      Liverpool 2 Arsenal 2

After our appalling start in the cup game a couple of days ago I warned the players pre match that we couldn't afford a repetition in this one against an excellent Arsenal side - lo and behold after 13 minutes we were 2 down and staring down the barrel again. In fairness to the lads they had us level within 3 minutes after a couple of quickfire goals of our own and incredibly that was it with no further goals in the remaining 74 minutes.

A draw looks a fair result on the balance of play but from our point of view it's a point that doesn't really do us much good. It really is so tight in the race for the Champions League spots with 6th position to 12th spot only separated by 5 points.

Next up for us a trip to Southampton who currently occupy 6th place. A tough game but it would be a good time for us to get back on the winning trail after a really poor week.

        Crystal Palace 1-2 Bristol City

Ah, well this one stings a bit. Thought with the P v N and what I thought was the stronger side on paper, we would run through the gears and find the target with regularity as we have done with other sides down the bottom who we've played at home recently. We took the lead in the first half, and then surrendered it before half time. City then won it with minutes left, scoring their second goal with only their third shot on target. We weren't clinical ourselves, but had more than enough chances to at least get a draw and probably win it on another day.

This reaction probably seems quite salty, and honestly, it's because it is! Bristol City have done the double on us now and only won four other games in the league this season. We have aspirations of trying to crack the top 8, and while we've had a cracking outcome in the FA Cup semi final, the 6-1 against Burnley and now defeat here at home has put a real dent in our chances for top 8 and my overall confidence in the team. I did mess up a conditional today which didn't help, and maybe we need to chalk it down as one of those things, but with a challenging Spurs side and the rampant Aston Villa to come in the league next week, dropping points here is less than ideal.

Well done Marshy, some big points for you trying to keep City above water!

          Sheffield United 1 - 5 Chelsea

Sheffield set up with a lazy 442P vs one of our rivals last round (when they could be bothered to sheet properly and not send their roster instead), yet we got a sneaky switch to N on 3 minutes to try and counter the Spice Boys. Unfortunately N is shit and we pummeled it. Two goals from Fati, one feach rom Bobby F, KDB and Leao meant that our front 4 got all the goals. Nice to get back into the win coloumn after a couple of disapointing draws against the grain.
