Leeds United 1-2 MANCHESTER UNITED

Pleasing result in the end, and what we needed after dropping ground last round. But we had more options which I think certainly helped, along with the change of captain. They scored with the first action and to be honest Had Oblak still been captain, it wouldn't have made much difference. But 2 first half goals from Porro and then new captain Adeyemi got us the three points. We possibly could've been more positive to hunt a 3rd but we wanted 3 points more.

With other results we stay 3rd, but back to 3 behind the top. We know we have work to do, but we've got 17 games left in the league and we have the simple objective, play to win them all.

Blackburn Rovers 1-0 Crystal Palace

The narrow win giveth, the narrow win taketh away. Knew this was going to be a tough away trip, particularly without Anton, but in the end we lost by a single goal and may have on another day stolen a point.

So hard to build up any momentum, and frustrating where getting on a decent run would really catapult us up the table. No Anton or Tuta for the DPT QF either so really going to have to get creative for that!

Manchester City 5 - 1 Chelsea

I expected this to be a close game, but in what was an odd game City ran out big winners on the only stat that matters, goals. Chelsea did have more shots and posession of the ball so to lose in such a manner was odd, but not out of the ordinary given the talent of City. In particular we went to European football when down by two goals and had the tactical advantage, yet lost a further two more goals. Perhaps the difference was the keepers. Ederson was 27 rated and Henderson 26 rated. Ederson saved 9 of 10 shots on target, while Henderson saved only 5 of 10 on target. To be honest though you can spend too much time trying to make sense of the stats and the action, sometimes it's just not your night and you move onto the next one.

Liverpool 2 Leicester City 1

We raced into a two goal lead playing 42031E and then changed to a counter attacking approach just as the visitors switched to all out attack. To be honest I expected us to bang in a few goals from that point and whilst we dominated we actually lost the 80 mins of C v A action 0-1 which seems crazy to me all things considered.

Pleased to win but the feeling is that yet again we made heavy weather of things. This really should have been a comfortable win but instead we found ourselves desperate to hear the final whistle. Very frustrating.

Champions League up next against Atletico who like us are having some struggles in the league. We are not fooled though, their quality is there for all to see and we're going to have to play very well to find a way through to the semis.

Arsenal 4 - 2 Burnley

Arsenal were celebrating a rare win after the round twenty one clash with Burnley but the Manager has insisted that he wont get carried away. The game saw three new players included in the Arsenal side after a busy week in the market and it was a debut goal from Rasmus Hojlund along with strikes from Thuram, Giminez and Saka that got a much needed win for the home side.

The Arsenal boss although happy from the result, is still insists that the run of draws is going to be hard to pull back now as the club enters the second half of the season ;

" A great win and performance today from the players but we are just playing catch-up now which isn't an easy task when you look t the sides above us who are flying right now. Certainly the biggest run of draws Ive seen in my time in FFO and one I hope isn't around too often. We have made some changes to the squad and I do expect that their could be some more on the horizon but for now, we can be happy with the result but we won be singing from the hills just yet ".
