Professional display and a bit of revenge for the cup final after they turned us over. We kept at the task with Liverpool trying a route one game. Thankfully we did keep patient and stayed with our game plan and saw out the win. It was needed, with City dropping points we're 3 behind but with some big games coming up and minutes still to juggle it's going to take a fair bit to catch them, overtake them and then stay ahead of them. But with displays like today we should be capable of moving forward.
Job done, and as we always say, we just keep going.
Worst performance of the season by far as we tried to catch our opponents off guard by playing a long ball style for the first time this season - safe to say it backfired spectacularly and Man Utd absolutely deserved their win.
As if things weren't bad enough for us in the league this season we heard a small group of fans singing for the return of previous manager Hamza. I mean I knew things were bad but holy smoke they must be worse than I thought.
A trip to face the in form Spice Boys next - not what we needed with the way we're playing.
Back to back defeats against Chelsea and Man Utd saw Arsenal up against another side who are leading the way in the Premier League, Manchester City who are playing so well this season. With Arsenal stating that he is looking for a reaction after the defeats, he would have no doubt been pleased after seeing his side hold City to a draw after taking the lead through Michael Olise who is having a superb season. City did get level through Vlahovic to take a share of the points which a good result although Arsenal will be without Lepanent who saw red late on.
The Arsenal boss spoke after the game ;
" A very good point and performance which Id have more than taken before kick off. The run of games that we found ourselves on would have been hard for any side in the game but to stop it and get a point against the side who are playing some good stuff is exactly what we wanted. Frustrating to take the lead and let it slip but we still get a point on the board although it does come at a cost with us losing a player for the next game ".
