When a win feels like a loss! I meant to play E in this one as I fully expected a the counter from Bristol but I must take full responsability for a balls up with my sheet in the conditionals which meant we switched to A in minute 1 and got countered for most the game. It looked like the game would finish a bore 0-0 draw, but Bristol suddenly switched away from the counter very late in the game which gave us an opportunity and Firminio scored to basically steal us a win here. But I'm kicking myself at the potential loss of a bigger win and lost abs. C'est la vie.
Both teams missing players obviously affected the game, but I'm frustrated with us conceding 2 goals from playing a back 5. But otherwise I thought we deserved more in the game in the end despite trailing twice but I guess we once again have to look at our wasted chances. Spurs came for a point and to maybe nick a win and they are certainly the happier of the two sides, but for us it's points dropped and already more ground behind City. But we'll go again Monday and hopefully put it all right.
Another game where we comfortably out shot the opposition but as has been the case of late we just couldn't hit the back of the net, Newcastle's keeper turning in a man of the match display in the process. If we keep out performing the opposition and having the likes of 20 shots in a game I have to believe that lady luck will eventually turn and we'll start winning but certainly at the moment it just feels that no matter what we do it won't work.
Maybe we need to create next to shag all and the goals will start to flow again as seems to be the case for some other teams.
Well played though to the Geordies, they came and had a proper go so you have to give them credit for that and it wouldn't have been a massive shock if they'd nicked it.
Next up a trip to the unpredictable Hammers who have been putting together a good unbeaten league run.
