      Arsenal 2 Liverpool 1

Beaten by a 94th minute goal which is never a nice feeling but it stings even more when you deserve so much better as was the case for us in this one. Unfortunately we've found over the past 3 games that our back up GK just isn't up to the task and we'll have to hope that lady luck shines on us and Courtois doesn't get injured again. It's like last season all over again with our starting GK missing games galore so in that sense it's probably my own fault for not getting in a better back up.

Really poor run we've been on and in truth we can't put it all down to the absence of Courtois as we were stuttering before that. We need to bounce back on Monday which is another challenging game as a talented Southampton side come to Anfield.

Hoping for 3 points and a clean bill of health ahead of the start of our FA Cup defence - which takes on added significance given we already look out of the league race.

Played Darren, like the rest of us you take the 3 points any which way.

        MANCHESTER UNITED 4-0 Burnley

Both sides came into the tie a defender light but given our options I believed we could take complete advantage of that and it's what we did. We dominated the early parts of the game, 2 up in 18 minutes. We settled down and Burnley tweaked their set up and mustered a couple of efforts themselves but their late adaption fell into our hands, we threw more squaddies on for minutes and found another 2 goals. We deserved the win, it was comprehensive enough but why can't we have this kind of ruthlessness in Europe. We're happy with the win but we still have lots to do

          Chelsea 6 - 1 Sheffield United

Kinda expected a big win here given how Dave has had Sheff U playing this season. They are obviously looking to develop their team and have accepted relegation, so fair play. We had a job to do though, and we delivered putting the away side to the sword. Three points on the board and we climb into 4th spot above Villa who lost at home. Man City looking impressive so far at the top of the table undefeated in the league.

            Premier League Game 8

            Leeds United 1
            Juan Cuadrado (15)

            Wolves 2
Joao Pedro (44), Charlie Cresswell (52)

Booked: Chaka Traore (35), Nathan Tella (87)

            HT: 1-1
            MotM: Chaka Traore (Wolves)

Wolves visited Leeds United at Elland Road at a time when the home side is undergoing a bit of a transitional season with a revamp of their squad. Wolves were keen to put the DB Cup result against Sporting Lisbon behind them and put on a good show here. Leeds came out the stronger in the early phase of this match and capitalised on a great goal on 15 minutes from Juan Cuardrado after hitting the bar and then pouncing on his own rebound to slot the ball in the net for the opening score. Despite this wake up call Wolves still struggled to get any time on the ball. Very much against the run of play and with a minute left on the clock for the first half Joao Pedro capitalised on a long throw from Emerson Royal to rifle the ball home for the equaliser. The second half saw Wolves very much brighter with more possession that resulted in a Charlie Cresswell goal in almost a carbon copy of Wolves first goal as he latched onto a long throw, this time from the impressive Chaka Traore. Leeds can feel rightly frustrated at this result as they had the bulk of the possession and twice the number of shots on target compared to their visitors. However, in the end Wolves proved that little bit sharper in front of goal and had that little bit of luck to carry them through to claim the three points.

            Well played Tim, very unlucky.

Wolves are back at Molineux for their next game as they play hosts to Blackburn Rovers in a key game.
