    Sheffield United 0-4 MANCHESTER UNITED

Dominant and positive performance but an end to end game for sure. We raced to a 3 goal lead at half time and wrapped it on the hour mark. We played well but with Sheffield having a good go there was plenty of action across the game. We managed to throw some squad players on and get the needed minutes in. It was a needed result, we needed goals and kept a cleansheet so it was a near perfect game for us.

We by no means will get too high ahead of ourselves on one performance given our patchy form and we need to put a good display in midweek or we'll be looking down the barrel again. But this is what this team should be capable of more regularly.

      Crystal Palace 1 - 1 Burnley

A bit of boring match with a limited number of chances on both sides. We dominated in the midfield with 64 % of possession. However, we were not able to produce more than 5 shots on target. Ekitike opened the scoreline for us early on, but Dike equalised in the second half. Overall, a point away from Selhurst Park is not a bad result. Still in top8 with a very difficult trip to Manchester United next.

        Leicester City 1 - 1 Chelsea

A frustrating draw on the road when we dominated the game - notching up a 12-21 shot count. Leao got the opener for us, before the Foxes pulled it back on 9 minutes and then to much suprise, no more goals. Despite all the attempts on goal, only 8 made it on target from the 21 which is a much below par roll of the RNG dice. Had a few of these bad luck rounds already so far this season, but let's look at the positives. We picked up a point, only drop 1 place to 5th and generally keep pace with everyone else. Once we do start to click we will be decimating teams, so let's look forward to that as bad times don't last, but bad guys do.

          Wolves 0

Booked: Joao Pedro (32), Charlie Cresswell (62)

          Manchester City 0

          HT: 0-0
          MotM: Pascal Struijk (Wolves)

In our previous two seasons in the Prem we have been lucky enough to have managed a decent record against THE top side. This game proved to be no different as Wolves put up a good fight in front of their home support and without the services of Brazilian midfield maestro Matheus Cunha. Possession wise there was very little in it with City edging the ball. However, Wolves had seven shots on target from nine attempts compared to the sky blues very negative one shot on target from a dismal three attempts. Not a performance for the travelling support to get behind when they must have gone into this game expecting to come away with all three points. No surprise then that in a scoreless draw the man of the match award would go to a defender in the shape of Wolves centre back Pascal Struijk, but even more telling was that it was a very close run decision between Struijk and the City keeper Ederson. Overall Wolves are happy with a point in a very difficult game against the top of the league. Most concerning was the form of Nicolas Jackson in this game who had the bulk of the chances for the home side but failed to find the back of the net albeit he was playing in a more unfamiliar attacking midfield role for this game to cover for the missing Cunha. Fingers crossed his goalscoring form returns quickly.

          As always, good game Nick.

With the return from injury of Matheus Cunha, the next game sees a full strength gold and black side back in action in the DB Cup entertaining EFL1 outfit Sporting Lisbon at Molineux in the second round of matches.

            Liverpool 0 Aston Villa 1

Just not happening for us at the moment. Home and tactical bonus (mostly), more shots, possession, corners, passes but ultimately we couldn't score and it's becoming a familiar story once again. To compound matters we had Courtois go off injured after half an hour so it seemed inevitable Villa would eventually find a way past our back up and that they duly did.

In fairness to Drum he came with a very positive approach and I never criticise anyone that gets a result playing with that type of ambition so fair play to him.

Courtois will miss our next couple of games the first of which is PSG in the Champions League. Fucken great. We'll need to search for the old luck bus as by god we'll need it with a 21 in the sticks.

Played Drum, all the best mate.

                Southampton 0 - 1 Arsenal

After the defeat to Newcastle in round six, Arsenal had to bounce back against in form Southampton and they did just that at St Marys with a 1-0 win thanks to another goal from Defender Gvardiol after just six minutes gone. Scoring so early in a game is always tough to defend for such a large part of any game but Arsenal held out for eighty five minutes for the win and stopped the in form and former Gunner Alexander Isak out.

                The Gunners boss spoke after the game ;

" Its no lie we were disappointed to lose the game against Newcastle after such a good start to the season but we bounced back in the best way possible and against a side that have started the season really well and the three points sees us move above them so a good result for the club.

A second goal for Gvardiol aswell since his return to the club, of course Id like to see the strikers get in on the scoring more but I wont complain today after the team picked up a great result ".
