    Blackburn 0-4 MANCHESTER UNITED

We knew we faced a managerless side and like everyone knows, we can draw any set up. Given our slow start we opted to be play with an air of caution and the start of the game certainly didn't pulsate in the end, despite the feeling reading through the game I thought it had a bit more about it than it did.

We suffered an injury to Pedro Porro which I was a bit frustrated by, playing against a defensive wall, key defender injured and thinking it's one of those days. Thankfully we broke the deadlock when Adeyemi bagged his first and just after halftime his account and the lead was doubled with a penalty, then on we relaxed and I though we had more efforts than we did but ultimately we had 4 shots, all on target and 4 goals with Sterling and Jadon Slory getting on the scoresheet. today too.

An odd game, but two teams starting cautious lead to the end results of stats it did, but we proved we can be clinical..... shame it took 2 games to get going.

        Leeds 2 - 2 Chelsea

We're on a mini run of bad luck at the moment, an 11-16 shot count here verses a weaker team on the development path should have yielded the Spice Boys the full three points.

Instead we will need to accept a draw, that feels like a loss a little bit.

So far this season we have earned 2 points from 3 games, when our XP should be at least 7, maybe even 9. A combined total shout count of 60-38 shows that we are just experiencing some negative variance which is to be expected, if you understand math. Out keeper has made 12 saves so far this season but conceeded 7 goals. A really poor ratio which demonstrates this 'bad luck'. But if needs be we will kiss someone’s feet, the Blarney Stone, and maybe even a leprechaun’s hat if it means getting some positive luck on our side as we need to put the Chelsea machine into gear and get the season going.

          Liverpool 1 Sheffield Utd 0

Again it wasn't great but we managed to get the job done. Both sides played a passing style but it wasn't until we made a late change to attacking that we managed to make the all important breakthrough. A passing approach just doesn't seem to work for us no matter what formation we try. Credit to the Blades though who came with three up top and had a good go of things, I don't think there's any doubt we deserved to win but they caused us problems and had us sweating right up until the final whistle.

Next up a trip to Burnley who haven't made a great start to the season and are still seeking their first point but we know what they are capable of and we will need to be at our best to get the win.

Unlucky Dave, best of luck this season.

            Cardiff City 1-2 Crystal Palace

Another narrow away win where we didn't have the best of the stats, and Cardiff can probably feel aggrieved not to get much from the officials who failed to give two penalties, and didn't send Traore off who predictably went on to get both our goals.

Hopefully we can back up this tough one with a better result against Wolves on Friday. Unlucky Matt, best of luck for the rest of the season.

              Arsenal 3 - 4 Bristol City

We have to reflect on this as a very poor result from a game we really should be getting maximum points from. Take nothing away from Bristol City, they were the better of the two sides on the day and we got what we deserved which was nothing.

We were far from at the races in this one and at 3-1 down, we were second best and despite the fightback, City took the win in a game we need to put behind us and focus on the next. Pleased to see Michael Olise get another two to his tally but in all fairness, that was about as good as it got for us in this.
