    MANCHESTER UNITED 0-0 Leeds United

Battered them, but couldn't score. It's a slow start for sure and this is a bad result. We played very well and did everything but score. Worrying that the front lot are yet to score this season, it's early days still but 2 games in and no goals isn't good enough. We knew the start would be tricky with 2 big teams, but we hoped for something positive.

We'll go again Monday but we need to get going sooner rather than later.

      Burnley 1 - 3 Arsenal

Any sort of result away from home be it a point or a win is always a good return but we come back to North London will three to kick the season off with back to back wins.

At half time we looked to be in full control of the game leading two nil thanks to an own goal from our former Balde and a goal from Marcus Rashford in his second and last appearance for the club and then the game was capped off in the second half when Bakayo Saka scored the third and final goal for us. Burnley did get one late on but the game was over by that point.

Pleased to get the win against Burnley especially away from home. Played mate.

We say goodbye to Gomez and Rashford this weekend as they depart for Juventus but we look forward to the new players arriving.

          Chelsea 1 - 2 Manchester City

Falling 2-0 behind before halftime against one of the league’s powerhouses is always a tough position to recover from. Despite pulling one back through Leao, Man City ultimately walked away with all three points. The stats suggest we had the better of the game, with a 13-11 advantage in shots and 21-15 in 'chances'. However, the only stat that truly matters is the scoreline, and City came out on top. If we’re serious about being in the hunt, we need to start picking up points in these big matches. It’s disappointing that we couldn’t do that today.

            Burnley 1 - 3 Arsenal

An important match against Arsenal. We didn't start badly and countered them from the beginning. Unfortunately, in the 23rd minute, Balde (a former Arsenal player) scored an own goal after an unlucky touch. Just a minute later, Rashford added another goal, and things went downhill for us. Before the 60th minute, Balde scored another goal for Arsenal, and it was game over for us. Our veteran, Hamsik, scored a consolation goal in the 73rd minute, but that was all we could manage. Statistically, it was quite an even match, with both sides having 12 shots on target. It was another lesson in efficiency for us.

Hummels joins our squad this weekend. Finally, we will have our starting defense line complete, and hopefully, better results will come soon.

            Played Darren.

              Leicester City 0 Liverpool 1

After the disappointing home draw in our opening game this was all about getting the 3 points and we're pleased and relieved to have done so. Leicester thrashed us in the same fixture last season but we set up differently today and an early goal from Akanji was enough. We were never totally comfortable that's for sure but I think we just about deserved the win.

Next up a home game against a Sheffield United team we'll be favourites to beat but we showed at home to Wolves we are more than capable of screwing things up.

Both sides will be at full strength and we'll have to try and get things right tactically to break them down.
