Good win. Got the TA from kickoff which definitely helped but it was still a hard battle. Delighted to take the three points and for David Brooks who got his first Brum goal. Hopefully much more to come from him.
After a surprisingly good start to the season the Bournemouth wheels fell off with a thumping at fellow south coasters Brighton. The bright spot on the day was two goals for G_Reyna (6,35).
The shot count of 32-10 showed the home sides dominance. What was hugely disappointing from a Bournemouth point of view was the side only making 4 key tackles. It seemed like the back four played like cardboard cut-outs as Brighton simply strolled past them at will. The only other positive was getting an 101 minute game.
Caretaker manager Simon Marsh commented "That was a terrible display of defending from the team. They were quicker all over the park and we just couldn't match them on the day".
An exciting game for the fans to watch, as 6 goals flew in. It was a fairly even, open game, which on a good day Luton could have won, but equally could have lost. Whilst we had more shots on target the opposition had a little more possession.
The goals were from the ever reliable Awoniyi, along with Kuchta and Florentino, the latter coming in the last minute to secure a point..
There were some decent abs around the team, but some doubts about new keeper Kepa's ability to make saves.
A few changes in personnel for next week, including a new striker, so hopefully things will kick on. gg dude
Stoke 2-0 Norwich
With 2 players out and still a crappy keeper, we held our own in the game really but couldnt make it count. A poor start to the league season but we expect pain before we improve over the course of the season, years and eventually make it back to the prem.
Lions Make Easy Work Of Bridge's Stockport At The Den
Millwall 2 Stockport County 0
A packed Den was in full voice as they got to see their new look side at the Den for the first time this season. There was optimism that the Lions would end the week with three wins from three despite Mike Bridge's County having a reasonable record against Windebank's Millwall.
Windebank has had a plan and been building three years culminating in the side he has assembled for this season. Bridge on the other hand has changed his side more than his pants over the last three bonanza's and two full seasons, finally starting to set the foundations for the long term and for the first time Windebank had the stronger team on paper.
Could Windebank turn the advantage on paper into three points?
Of course he could!!!!
Stockport had the better of the opening exchanges until Manchester City loanee Stenman nutmegged Kolasinac before striking a beautiful 40 yard drive to send the Den wild in the 12th minute with his first goal for his temporary Club.
The Den was bouncing and Stockport were chasing shadows from that moment on and no one was surprised when in the 40th minute Cissokho threw the ball to Rasmus Hojlund who lobbed ancient fossil Sam Johnstone in the County goal to score Millwall's second of the game and Rasmus third goal in the first three games of the season.
Bridge shouted at his players to attack and Windebank told his players to remain patient and keep possession.
Despite numerous chances being created from the Lions and a few for County the final whistle went and the players left the pitch with Rocking all over the world ringing in their ears.

What a performance to end a great first week of the season. We controlled large parts of the game with 60% possession and created 23 chances with 13 of them being on target. The 18 key passes really impressed me and despite having the ball for large parts of the game we saw 5 key tackles and both loanees have rated up in the first week of the season.
Rome Jayden has been a revelation between the sticks and made an impressive 10 saves including a bad back pass denying Stockport a goal with the 9 shots they had on target from the 12 chances they created.
Rasmus has really hit the ground running and after just three games in the Lions shirt we have had to turn down an enquiry from a tier one Club which shows how impressive Rasmus has been in the first week of the season.
We end the first week of the season with two league wins and a FA Cup first round win, scoring eight goals and conceding none.
My job is to make sure we follow that up with another good week next week when we face West Bromwich Albion at the Hawthorns on Monday then we stay in the Midlands for the FA Cup 2nd round when we face Real Madrid manager Freddie Kaye's Birmingham City before finishing off the week at the Den against HD Kings Nottingham Forest.
Pleasure as always Mike best of luck for the rest of the season mate.
