    Real 2-1 Leverkusen

We made hard work of it but we took the three points in the end. We set up with the TA, home advantage and stronger squad and still went a goal down early on but fought back through goals from Kim Min-Jae and Alexis MacAllister. All the more important that we won as PSG slipped up and Bayern drew. We're now within four points of top spot so the title battle is still very much on.
Disappointed to see Militao get sent off which means he misses the first leg of our CL semi final away at Aletico, he's a key player so will be a big miss.
    Played Tim.

      Atletico Madrid 0 - 0 Bayern Munich

Atletico decided to go at the game full strength in a bid to stay in touch in the league as one poor result in the cup semi final will end the season. Atletico outplayed Bayern with a shot count of 19-10 but could not find a goal. Its either Martinez shipping 4 goals from 6 shots at one end of the strikers missing 19 chances at the other. Quite literally Atletico are lovely in the middle of the field and stink at both ends. Perhaps not the time to start a franchise basketball team.

Manager Simon Marsh commented "We thankfully got away with none of the 5 players teetering on suspension picking up a booking but the draw does nothing but mean all the hard work catching up has disappeared. We are happy to have pulled away from some of the other teams below now but we will need another great run to catch anyone else up. On top of that news is bad that we have lost Cristante for 3 games injury. So frustrating to be missing our best player for the champions league semi-final".

        Marseille 1-3 Fiorentina

Nice performance from the lads away from home against a good performing Marseille side with two top strikers in their side.
It started as a passing game from both sides, and it went well from the off with goals from Chuk and Berardi in the first half.
Things started to get a bit tense in the second half however, when Carvalho pulled one back, but Berardi continued his scoring form with the late settler. gg dude.
The stats were very positive for us, and there were plenty of abs all around the team, but it was Berardi with man of the match again.

With only 10 games to play, we are 17 points above the Champions league zone, so it looks very likely the season objective will be achieved, the question now is how high can we finish?
With Bayern and PSG dropping points, we are currently right back in the hunt, but most of the hardest games are still to come.

The manager was also pleased to avoid any injury or suspensions for the European semi against Blackburn in midweek, exciting times to come
