A fairy dominant and deserved victory considering the 3-12 shot count here. Atletico were missing 2 key players through suspension and so had to put their best 11 out in an unfamiliar line up. They did enough and it was recently signed bench player M_Pasalic (10) that scored the goal that would win all three points.
With 4 wins on the spin and 14 points from the last 18. Atletico are the second best side on form and they suddenly have a firm looking grip on a champions league spot.
Manager Simon Marsh commented "We have got within 3 points of 4th place and we are definitely looking up the table. To be only 10 off the top is frustrating because we could have had that many more points this season and be right in the mix".
Suppose considering Roma's revival under Keith a draw isn't a bad result but after looking at how the game played out I'm disappointed we did not take three points tbh.
Admittedly we had to battle back from 2-0 down but we had a fair bit more possession and opportunities to score compared to the home side.
Happy with Florian Wirtz's performance though, he was exceptional and got us back into the game.
PSG's lead isn't getting smaller and we really need some wins.
Played Keith.
Nice win on the road for Fiorentina, avoiding a potential banana skin, as Celtic are a lot better than their league position suggests
We decided to P on them, and their counter made it a close game, with no much between the sides based on the stats.
The difference makers were the clinical finishers of Chuk and Berardi, as is so often this season.
However, it was dodgy old defender Karsdorp who got man of the match with a great performance at the back, Marmardvili finally got the abs to take him to 26 stopping as well.
The only downside was the booking Mbappe picked up, which means he will miss the next match, though it had to happen at some point.
With other results going our way, it was a good day at the office in EF1
