    Bayern Munich 1-1 Rangers

A dominate display by the German giants. 25 shots to 4, did everything right except win! Rangers goalkeeper turned into fat bastard as he took up the whole goal stopping pretty much everything we threw at him (perhaps we need to throw chicken to distract him next time).

Rangers will be laughing and counting their lucky stars that they got away with a point here. 2 points dropped for us. We sit top after 5 games but are yet to play any of the giants of the game (Both madrids, Juventus, PSG or AC Milan).

    Good game Rangers.

      Lisbon 1-1 RMA

Just very frustrating at the moment. Thought Lisbon would opt for five at the back so we aimed to boss the midfield. We took control of possession but ultimately didn't make the most of it. It's still early doors so no panic but we need to up our game and fast.

        Roma 0-3 Fiorentina

I wasn't expecting this kind of result, despite Roma's form at the moment, and to be honest I'm not sure we deserved it.
Tactically it went ok at the start, and Berardi continued his clinical vein of form at the moment with two early goals.
In respect to Roma's strength we decided to try and defend from half an hour in, which might have impacted the stats, because overall it showed they edged the game
Unlucky Hamza, maybe you will get revenge in Europe.
It was a good performance from the new lads in midfield, the only downside being a bad injury to Cancelo that will keep him out for 3 games.
Third is a good as we could have hoped for at this stage, but there's plenty of tough games to come.

          Lens 0 - 3 Barcelona

What was already going to be a difficult challenge was made more so with a lineup card error that had two injured player in the starting lineup. This made the challenge ultimately insurmountable. Lens were completely dismantled. The only saving grace would be decent ABs for some fringe players and minutes.

          Good game Mati.

            Juventus 0-1 Atletico

I dont think we will be hearing anything about the ESMS gods hating Marshy anymore! In a game where we dominated the stats except the most important one!. we had two goals ruled out for reasons the referee has refused to tell us, which we will be writing to the EFL FA regarding. Windys dog was no where to be seen and 12 hours on and im still pissed off with this result!.

Well done Marshy. hope your arse isn't too sore walking around with the horseshoe stuck up there sideways!!! hahaha

              Lens 0 - 3 Barcelona

Lens was showing an irregular but surprising form mainly at home with 2 wins, but fortunately for Barcelona a mix of luck and good tactical display led to the first bulky win of the season, 4th match in a row without a loss, and sitting comfortably at 5th due GD. Doubt anyone thought we would sitting this high due to our "lack of activity" during the off season.

GG Chris, hope luck turns around for you.

                Juventus 0 Atletico Madrid 1

The esms gods must have been drinking beverages and smoking unhealthy things as they completely forgot that Atletico Madrid were playing! With the gods busy Atletico were able to enjoy an immense amount of fortune rarely seen at the club. A shot count of 23-12 would normally get you nothing but a mixture of good goalkeeping from Martinez and poor finishing from Juve, the away side stole three points. Rumours of match referee Tek Abung walking away with a bag full of gold coins have surfaced.

Manager Simon Marsh commented "Whilst I feel for Tony somewhat we were well and truly due one and more and so we embrace and enjoy getting three points back. I am disappointed with the performance and allowing that many shots is not something we normally do but we can move on and reflect on that".

                  PSG 5 - 2 Bayer Leverkusen

The frenchmen were looking for their 3rd consecutive league win at home to german outfit, Bayer Leverkusen, who would appear to be under caretaker stewardship. Just like Mick the Miller, the double derby winner, the hosts flew out of the traps. Ramos was denied in the first minute, but the Georgian made no mistake in the second minute. The parisians seemed to shoot at will but the leverkusen goalkeeper was equal to everything thrown at him,and the teams went in at the break with the score at 1-0. Shortly after the restart, PSG were awarded a well deserved penalty kick, which was duly converted by Ramos, who had taken over spot kick duties from EBH. Five minutes later, TAA broke the offside trap, and got his 2nd in two games, making it 3-0 on the night. Shortly after the hour mark the visitors were given a lifeline, However, on 73, defender Bastoni restored the 3 goal margin and put the tie out of reach. TAA continued to venture up the pitch, and was caught out of position, allowed the germans to close the gap again. However, it was too little, too late, and just before full time, EBH completed the nap hand. Ramos was awarded the man of the match award, but it could easily have gone to any of the other 4 goalscorers. The frenchmen move onto 10 points for the season, and get to that imortant 2ppg average that typically puts you in the hunt at the business end of the season.
