    Man UTD 4-2 Real

Was always going to be a challenge missing Militao at the back and I thought the final result was harsh on us but fair play to Utd they took their chances and put on a very good display (even with 9 men).
    Played Steve.
One of the biggest disappointments was Wirtz getting sent off which puts us in a difficult position for Fridays league game.
We still qualify top of the group which is a nice achievement but going into the knockout stages we know we will need to put in better performances to go further.

      MANCHESTER UNITED 4-2 Real Madrid

We used the game to get minutes into some who needed bit and simply everything went wrong for us.
1- We're out and we put in a stellar performance.
2- We had 2 players sent off, one straight back from injury
3- Porro accrued too many DP points so 3 players now missing for City

We played well, very well to be honest 11 vs 11 we was the better side but as the game went on it levelled out. But it's a pointless comment, Madrid through us out, we now miss 3 players for a huge game - When your lucks out your lucks out. Thankfully we have more depth coming in from the auction, but season might now be over after Friday as it's now twice in 2 seasons we're playing City 3 men light.

        Bayern Munich 1-1 Arsenal

A dominant display but we couldn't get the win to see us through. Sesko bagged his 18th of the season, and overall a solid performance from the entire side. Unfortunately we go out on the H2H with Arsenal in what was a very good CL campaign in the group of death. All the best to Arsenal and Madrid who progress. We will enjoy our Wednesday's off down at the local beer hall.

Champions League Group Game Six - Bayern Munich 1 - 1 Arsenal

The message before was simple, win and the Gunners make it through and beat Bayern Munich to second place who went into the game neck and neck with Arsenal on the same points and same goal difference. Arsenal have enjoyed their share of draws in recent weeks so its shock to see the result end and a 1-1 draw which does see Arsenal make it through on the head to head ruling with Bayern after both sides end up on the same points and goal difference, something not seen very often.

It was Bayern who seemed more up for the game than Arsenal but one thing that is visible for everyone is that they have their defence to thank for the draws as they have not played very well infact been second best in most of them games. Timo Werner did put the Gunners in front against the run of play but we pegged back soon after by the home side but despite their best efforts, neither side could get the winner and with the score standing at one a piece, it was Arsenal who make it through.

          The Arsenal boss spoke after the game ;

" Delighted to make it through what was definitely one of the toughest groups but its very harsh on Bayern to get knocked out that way. I don't ever recall it going down to the wire like this and have to be decided like this but we are just pleased to get our heads in the daw for the knockout phase ".

            Chelsea 2 - 3 Tottenham Hotspur

The battle of the squadies! The stats show us with more than double the amount of shots at 26-14 but a Bergwijn hat trick got the win for Spuds. To be fair, the actual result was the least important stat of anything in this game. The main priority was getting the 5 or so squaddies their mins and also bringing some off the bench to get theirs. The second priority was getting abs, and we got a decent haul. The third and last priority was to not get much yellow or red cards as we have a terrible amount of DP racking up at the moment. We got away with just a yellow to Leao and can look forward to the next Prem game with none missing as the 2nd half of the season now kicks in.

              Atletico Madrid 0 Southampton 2

Atletico played 7 reserves in the final group game with neither team requiring results. Atletico could have attempted to win the group but instead chose to play Urbig, Senior, Kalambayi, Bronico, Kilkenny, Adopo, Meier and Tanner.

The team played relatively well only losing the shot count 5-10.

Bronico, Kilkenny and Tanner are now all retained next season with some of the others now a lot closer to their targets. 9/24 players have now met their minutes.

Havertz got himself up to a 7-21-22 player.

Big positives for the season and a headache eased.

Atletico Madrid will now face Liverpool in the quarter finals on the champions league with the first leg at home.

                  Man City 1 Liverpool 4

City only played 4 first teamers so it's not a surprise we won. Ederson with 19 saves kept the score down to a respectable level for them. Great abs and a win that sees us finish unbeaten and top of a very tough group so we really couldn't have asked for any more. Getting to the knockout stages was our aim so mission accomplished.

I don't think finishing 1st or 2nd makes a huge difference in terms of getting it any easier in the quarter finals and we've landed an extremely tough tie in the shape of Atletico Madrid. Marshy is a more than competent manager who mixes things up well and it's going to be very difficult. They defeated us in last season's DPT Final so there's a bit of revenge to be had.
