Athletic Bilbao 0-1 SHAKHTAR DONETSK
What a huge result against one of the leagues best teams. Admittedly I forgot to put Gyokeres back in the line up but his replacement did a capable job once again. We needed just one goal from and a defender stepped up late on. We deserved to win and dominated the match throughout, anything less than a win would've been a travesty on our part and to add, we got some fantastic ABS from the game too.
We're in a close battle in these play off spots and if we are to repeat last seasons heroics we'll need more performances such as this one for sure. -
Wolfsburg 2-2 PSV
We’ve dropped points against two of the teams struggling in the leagues which has let us slip behind Benfica. Frustrating
Twice we took the lead and twice we got pegged back. Our midfield needs to dominate games more and create quality chances for Vinicius, we certainly have the strikers to win this league. We have Salzburg next, another team near the bottom and a must win game to stop Benfica getting away and the pack catching us up.
It’s still early in the season but would be a real boost to be leading the league at the halfway pointComment
