      Union Berlin 0-1 SHAKHTAR DONETSK

Our game plan was simple, don't win the stats, win the game and that's what we did. Somehow.

To be fair, we had intentions of just getting into the last 8 but we got countered for most of the tie and on another day we could've been 3 down. We rode our luck and took our one chance when it came. It wasn't pretty but we wont care one bit, who knows who we will draw but we're happy to be where we are and welcome the extra revenue!

We can't say much more on our game, we were absolute dire!

        Real 2-1 Fiorentina

Against EFL1's inform team we expected a tough game and we certainly got that but thankfully we were able to fight back from a goal down to progress. Neil is doing a brilliant job in Italy so despite our squad strength advantage I'm still delighted to have got through.

          Wolfsburg 2-1 Napoli

Very pleased to go through against an EFL1 team, albeit one of the weakest ones (Roma aside). It shows the level I think my team is at, towards the top for EFL2 but would struggle in league one.

some nice gate receipts and additional abs coming my way, happy with that

            Borussia Dortmund 2 - 2 Lazio

An epic game with a shit load of chances for both sides and to be totally honest dortmund was the better side tonight we managed to hold em to a drawcto get us extra time and penalties and ended up with us winning the shootout so very happy to be progressing into latter stages commiserations to GS was a good game and very unlucky although Guirassy the fuck-wit scored cane back haunting us

              Lens 3 - 0 Sporting Lisbon

What is becoming our weekly match against Lisbon went much better than I could have hoped. Tactically I think we had a good plan and executed well. 55% possession and 15 shots on target out of 23 is pretty much what we are working for statistically. Easier said than done against another EFL 1 team.

Real Madrid 2-1 Fiorentina (after Extra time)

We weren't expecting to progress, but we gave it a decent go against one of the best sides around.
We played more cautiously, which Madrid planned for, but of course, all the goals went against tactical advantage, with us scoring the early one, before Madrid changed it around and hit back.
I fancied our chances in a penalty shoot out, but Mbappe hit the cruel 116th minute winner. good game Freddie.

                  Atletico Madrid 2 Juventus1

First goals can be all important in especially in cup ties. With both sides playing counter the likelihood is the team losing moves to passing or attacking at first sign of going behind. This would have been the case whoever scored first. Atletico got off to a great start after 2 minutes and with home advantage and tactical advantage the hope was there to see them dominate this one. 5minutes gone and the score became 2-0. However, what unfolded next shows just how good Juventus have become as they overcame the bonuses to outplay Atletico for the remainder of the game. Overall a shot count of 13-13 will have seen away manager Tony Ayre disappointed to exit at this stage, especially given the disallowed leveller.

Marsh commented "It was a terrible draw for both teams and it was always likely to be a close fought game. Thankfully our cup form right now is much better than the league and we squeeze through for important matchday income and extra minutes. We dont have a good record in this competition so it was pleasing to get through".

                    Bayern Munich 1-0 Celtic

We snuck through against a tough Celtic side. Thanks to a goal by Sesko, we did dominate the stats but the Celtic keeper stood strong for the majority of the match. We would have liked to get another goal or two to really show that we mean business - however it was not to be.Williams got a vital 15 minutes in as we look to slowly make his minutes in what is a continual battle.

                    Good game Celtic.
