Brum 1-0 Millwall
The result's a tough one for Millwall who had the lion's share of possession. We always knew we would likely sacrifice dominating the ball going L but it seemed the best way to bypass Millwall's very strong midfield and target their slightly weaker defence. Delighted to get the win against a top manager who is really building something at the Den. Onto the next round. -
Bournemouth 5 - 1 Coventry City
Bournemouth enjoyed the fact that manager Will didnt get on the team bus. The Coventry team were all at sea and Bournemouth managed a 38-7 shot count. The only disappointment is the fact the scoreline could have been larger than +4. However it was another 100 minutes of action for free with another game added to the season tally.
Caretaker Marsh commented "That game has helped plans no end. We have 2 players ready to be sold for £20m now and we can start to concentrate efforts on others. The deals are needed to pay for the incoming goalkeeper for £14m but thats going to be a nice £6m addition to the bank by the end of the week".
