    Sheffield Wednesday 3 - 0 Blackburn Rovers

Finally a victory for the Owls. They have played well enough to win a game under Marsh but have found a lack of quality meaning the side not always getting a result. However, finally shots went in and the defence played admirably. A shot count of 11-3 was a very good performance and an even better result against a Rovers who are chasing the champions league places. H_Calhanoglu (26), G_Veron (29,83) scored the goals and the home side could also afford to miss a penalty.

Caretaker Marsh spoke "What a great boost for the club. Finances in order and three points that gives the club some respect back. 8 games and 24 points still to fight for. 7 points the gap to safety. In all honesty it is going to take a huge run of form to avoid relegation but the club will fight to the end. It took me 10 games to finally get a win here, hopefully this will lead to a few more"

Indeed Marsh now has a record of 1-6-3. 9 points from 10 games =0.9 points per game in comparison to Bradwells 11 points from 20 games at 0.55 points per game.

Great news also that all but one player has now made their minutes for being retained for the season. Wendell needs just 35 minutes from the last 8 games.

However, news for the next few games was bad. N_Zaniolo still has 2 more games of his 3-match suspension to complete. Joining him on the naughty bench was H_Calhanoglu who now serves a 1-match ban meaning both attacking midfielders will miss the next fixture and the club is severely weakened for the game.

      Sheff wed 3-0 Rovers

It was a predictable line up and formation from our opponents with their restrictions due to injuries/suspensions and we shot ourselves in the foot with our pursuit of Savio this week, and duly got punished for it. Of course our 27 rated GK conceded 3 goals in a game for the third time whilst being a 27 rater... and of course we gifted the worst performing team an easy win... classic Rovers this season, but in all honesty despite our opponents comments, Wednesday are under performing and have a decent side, they just perhaps haven't had the right leadership with the belief in their side.

We welcome Savio next week and we are still hopeful of bringing in one more new face before sundays deadline.

        Leeds United 0-0 MANCHESTER UNITED

Not the result we wanted but we missed 2 players again and the squad pretty much picked itself. Its pleasing we kept Leeds out, and kept a clean sheet but despite countering Leeds for most of the game we didn't make enough chances really but did have a solid enough defence ourselves, whilst Leeds shooting on the day was a more quantity than quality display. It was obvious Slory playing was a big hit for us compared to Valverde in terms of quality but its a few more minutes under his belt, it'll be tight to retain him but we'll see how the last few games go.

We play 3 more huge matches and we need bodies fit and available if we're to get back up top. We're 3 behind 3 other teams, not out of it but that run of draws has left us on the back leg for the home straight.

            Burnley 1 - 0 Newcastle United

Burnley are in a false position this season as they sit just above the relegation zone so we felt the need to play cautiously as we countered them from the off. This didn’t help as they took the lead on 27 minutes and then we were chasing the game.

We couldn’t find a way through and Burnley took all 3 points in a fairly even game.

            Good game Simon.

              Chelsea 4 - 1 Leicester City

We rebounded from the dour 0-0 draw away to Cardiff in which we rested key players, with a big win at the Bridge as the Champions League finalists claim the three points and level up a couple of players in the process. KDB got the first goal in the first minute, and rates up to 12-23-22 rated in the process but the star of the day was D_Berardi who scored his first hat trick for the Spice Boys and rates up his passing to 21-23.

Kudas will be leaving the club in a switch for De Jong agreed with Fiorentina, which will make the team stronger. We will also be receiving the services of a young loanee defender from PSG who will cover the spot that the retiring Sequeria will leave as the club cash in on his SHN value.

                Liverpool 4 Man City 1

Going into the game we knew that a defeat would put us 6 points behind and realistically end our title chances. We set up in the same way that brought us victories over City in our previous 2 games against them this season and we put in another strong performance to come away with a vital win. 4-1 probably flatters us but we were definitely good value for the win and it puts us level on points with both City and Leeds, albeit with a vastly inferior goal difference, with Man Utd and Arsenal still right in the mix too.

Unfortunately we've lost our youth player to a 3 game injury but we have Coquelin on loan for one final week which will soften that blow. There's a temptation to try and do some deals with the transfer window closing next week but these players are doing well and I'm scared to upset the apple cart too much.

Huge 10 games coming up for us from now to the end of the season between league fixtures and cup finals. The challenges are coming thick and fast so time for everyone connected to the club to strap in and enjoy the ride.

                    Everton 1 - 4 Arsenal

We knew that we had to get something from this one to make the most of our win over Liverpool in the last round and we managed to make it a Merseyside double with a decent win over the blue half this round.

At half time we were in full control leading 3-1 with goals coming from R_Bentancur, B_Saka and Ansu_Fati after just nine minutes played but our defence has crumbled at stages this season so it was vital that we didn't and luckily we went and got another from Werner in the second half to take all three points which keeps us putting pressure on the sides above us.

The table is still so close to call right now but we do sit here thinking of the games in which we have dropped silly points in but we will keep going.
