Atalanta 1-1 Fiorentina (2-2 on aggregate, Atalanta win 4-2 on pens)
So it was not be, as Fiorentina exit at the semi-final stage on penalties.
We decided to stick with the countering style that saw us do well on Monday, and it didn't lead to any tactical advantage.
We took the lead through Chukwueze, but it never felt comfortable. So when Musa pulled one back it was all level again.
The sending off of Spinazzola late on didn't help us in extra-time, but with the fire power we had, and better keeper, I went into penalties as confident as you can be, but no, Atalanta held their nerve better, and won though, well done dude.
It was a good cup run, time to focus on finishing as high as we can in the league.
