    Rangers 2 - 1 Juventus

A tough one to take tonight against a Rangers team who have caused us issues in the past and have come back to haunt us again. We knew they'd switch up and play C vs us but felt like our strength with P could see us win the game despite giving up TA...We were wrong.

A 17th minute goal from Hlozek gave the hosts the lead which led to both teams switching tactics, Rangers to L and us to A which got us back on level terms just 13 minutes later but we weren't even level for 5 minutes as Rangers were awarded the random event that is a penalty which Hlozek dispatched to restore the Rangers lead.

We switched back to A vs their L but as hard as we tried we couldn't get back into the game and Rangers secured a vital win against us.

Statistically we were the better team just about so being away from home we probably deserved a point but we'll just chalk it up to one of those games and move on.

    Good game Aaron.

      Real Madrid 1-1 Seville

Against the rather predictable tactic of Seville which is not an easy tactic to play against we got the breakthrough goal shortly into the second period. The away team then made a surprised change and later scored a levelling goal via the penalty spot. This has to go down as two points dropped the only consolation being that our main rivals also dropped points.

        PSG 1-3 Fiorentina

Boom! Our best win to date, though as usual we have to thank the ESMS gods for being kind.
We scored 3 from 4 shots on target, including two after switching to D when a goal up! We did however restrict PSG to 5 on target.
Spinazzola had another inspired game, including a goal and an assist, spin that!
Strikers Guirassy and Guedes also scored, and Sanches had another great game.
I'm not quite sure what PSG are missing, as they have a very classy side, and in theory picked the right tactics, though in reality E and 3 defenders can be very flakey.
We move up another place to 13th, and now have Napoli in our sights to keep on climbing.
Another bonus was no injuries or suspensions for the midweek Euro semi.

          Atletico Madrid 0 - 1 Inter Milan

Could Atletico get away with having their substitute goalkeeper for the 3 games..........victory against Palace and Celtic but Inter are another level up. Marsh felt that the away side would come out all guns attacking the weakness particularly since Atletico had used the D-tactic in previous two games. Marsh therefore decided to plump for counter-attacking to try and get the shot count as favourable as possible and hope that Dahmen could do a decent job. The thinking had little effect when Inter turned up countering also! The home side however create an 11-5 shot count which could have been enough but in true fashion they couldnt score and lost the game 0-1.

Manager Simon Marsh commented "I think overall we have done marvelously well over the 3 games. Reserve goalkeepers in FFO are generally shocking quality. We looked at attempting to upgrade our number two for this game but there are very few teams with 21-rated keepers and above so we stuck with Dahmen. The secret is not getting your number one injured but true to our luck Martinez has left the field of play injured 3 times this season".

The defeat puts a huge dent in the hopes of finishing as high up the league as possible.

Next up will be the home leg of the semi final of the DPT Cup against Crystal Palace.
