    Chelsea 0-1 MANCHESTER UNITED

Not a classic but the game plan worked and although we would like to have kicked on, the way we wanted to nullify our opponents worked. We expected Chelsea to try and counter, so we decided to match them before going direct for a bit and that made the decisive moment with Gavi moving into a new role and dribbling past the player who shouldn't have played in this game to score the only goal. Then on we made camp as that's what our opponent would've done and we killed out the tie. Neither team really did much in the tie, it was a gritty game and clear 1 goal was going to settle it.

We didn't come to play for stats, we came to win a game so in that respect it was a well executed game plan to see us reach a cup final in every season of the new FFO era. The final will be the toughest game yet with the best FFO has seen in the other dugout, he' really transformed Liverpool this season for sure!

      Liverpool 1 Millwall 0

The dream is over but we took Liverpool to extra time and gave it a really good go despite having two first team players out.

To get to the semi final is a remarkable achievement for a Club our size and it has been a fun journey.

A big round of applause to a great manager and friend and best of luck Livi in the final.

      Well done mate

        Chelsea 0 - 1 Manchester United

Left this game feeling rather unsatsified. I'd rather lose a 3-2 thriller than go down to the odd goal in a tepid encounter. But that's was transpired, as the two evenly matched teams basically cancelled each other out. The one moment of the game was the brief switch to L from Utd from which Gavi scored his scored, perhaps floating by a player in Rudiger who has been unfairly dragged through the mud in the press possibly affecting his performance. The other notion is that the injured Goretzka would have been the man in that zone ready to shoulder charge Gavi down to the ground.

The game was closed down as United dropped the big D, but the United manager is incorrect in that we did not have any plans to implement that feeble tactic ourselves. It's basically C but with no attacking merit. You won't see any D's from the Spice Boys.

So we lose in the semi's, which is disapointing as I'd have fancied our chancies against Liverpool in the final but we do have another semi final to look forward to in the Champions League. We've over accomplished this season with semi finals, as this season was all about the build, and our team is much stronger now than it was at the start of the season I think thats clear. It's also been made clear by the amount of times we get shown Ds, Ls and Cs by opponents so we will take them as compliments. GG Steve, you eeked out the narrow win and I have no complaints. Your now the clear favourite for the cup, and could perhaps take down a cup and league double, so congrats and good luck.

          Liverpool 1 Millwall 0 (aet)

Knew this wouldn't be easy and so it proved. Gaz had his depleted side well organised and for long spells it looked like it could go all the way to penalties. We matched their counter attacking approach for the first hour and then switched to attacking when we hadn't found the breakthrough and it honestly wouldn't have surprised me if they'd nicked a winner late in regulation time.

Into extra time it went and finally we made the breakthrough and once again it was one of our new boys from Blackburn that came up trumps with Dumfries lobbing in what proved to be the winner. We were very relieved to see the full time whistle which tells you everything and all the plaudits have to go to Gaz and his spirited troops for what they've achieved throughout this competition. I wouldn't have begrudged him a place in the final. I know he's enjoying the rebuild with his beloved Millwall and I'm sure in time he'll have them up in the Premier League mixing it with the big boys.

Onto the final and an extremely difficult challenge against a very strong Man United side. For me Steve is not only one of the good guys but also one of the best managers out there and I always find him difficult to play against. We would certainly have preferred to play Chelsea who are more our level but if we play to our maximum there is absolutely no doubt we can beat United. Certainly something to look forward to at the end of the season and a nice boost financially.

What can I say Gaz? Sorry pal but yet again the luck was on our side. All the best for the run in and well done on getting to the semis.
