    Chelsea 2 - 2 Newcastle United

Have played Newcastle 5 times now this season, and although we was unlucky not to win the game based on the stats I guess we have to feel grateful that we managed to claw back a two goal defecit to at least draw the match. Going by how the 2nd half went we really should have got the third goal. Our forms not been great recently, our little purple patch now a memory. We will need to pick it up if we are to make any dents on Real Madrid in the champions league, but we will have a trick or two lying in wait for the EFL1 Champions.

      MANCHESTER UNITED 0-0 Southampton

I feel this is one to bemoan our poor finishing. The squad picked itself to be honest given we had 3 players out and so we thought we'd keep it pretty simple to start with. Tight at the back and look to play. We proved too strong for Saints at times, they didn't get their counter attacking plan really into much rhythm. But otherwise, we had more chances, did more with ball but just didn't convert anything which is disappointing. But, we stay top for now given results elsewhere, its a rare clean sheet too for us, and we maintain our unbeaten run.

We move on, and we'll go again on Friday.

        Burnley 0 Spurs 3

A great away win for us which gets us back on song against a strong team despite their league position. We just seemed to have a bit more and the mighty Dusan struck again, cheers Simon

          Sheffield Wednesday 0 - 1 Manchester City

Not an easy opening game for care-taker Marsh against perennial Premier challengers Manchester City, especially with the minutes issues that have been left at the club.
Despite the gulf in class and enforced changes the home side gave a good display and probably deserved a draw out of the game. A 7-6 shot count meant that only the away sides extra quality won the day.

The good news is an improvement in the clubs of hopes of retaining players which has to be the number one target for the remainder of the season. Danilo, Wendell, Kaminski, Diabate, Veron and Hogan all made strides forwards as the first paracetamol for the headache slightly eased the situation.

Care-taker Marsh commented "I think the boys put out a really spirited performance that the fans have not seen when Sam errrrr Mike Bradwell was in charge this season. If they can keep that up then a few more points will hopefully come this season".

            West Ham 1 - 2 Cardiff City

Cardiff City stunned West Ham with a thrilling late comeback, securing a 2-1 victory at the London Stadium. Manager Matt Rose praised his side's resilience after trailing to an early second-half goal from Isco in the 50th minute. Despite West Ham dominating possession, Cardiff remained organised, and the breakthrough came in the 80th minute when M_Harris equalised with a superb strike.

As West Ham pushed for a winner, Cardiff took advantage of their opportunities. A_Bah found the back of the net in the 87th minute, capitalising on a defensive error to seal the win for the visitors.

Rose highlighted the team's determination, particularly M_Harris, who was named Man of the Match. "The lads showed great character to come back. We stayed focused, and in the end, we got our rewards," said Rose. The victory marks a significant result for Cardiff City, who look to build momentum in the coming fixtures.

              Leeds United 3 - 2 Arsenal

A tough fixture against a side that has been setting the pace pretty much all season and we return back to North London feeling somewhat sorry for ourselves after suffering the defeat when we really deserved something from it. We knew it was going to be tough after seeing Leeds all season turn sides over but to give a very good account of ourselves and get nothing to show for it has happened too many times for us this season so. We move on and try and get back to winning ways in the Champions League.

              Played Timbo.

                Liverpool 1 Aston Villa 0

Another clean sheet for the mighty Bolat. Bizarre how more reliable he's proving than 1st choice Onana. Admittedly he didn't have a great deal to do which in truth was probably more down to fortune than anything else as Villa had the tactical bonus for the most part.

Mudryk showed again that being stripped of the captaincy hopefully isn't going to affect him too much as he fired in a fairly late winner and looking at the stats we probably deserved it.

We get the 2 players that missed this one back for an extremely tough 1st leg in the DPT against a Blackburn side we haven't been able to beat this season and who now have a 27 rater between the sticks. Scoring goals has been a bit of a problem for us and it looks like we'll have our work cut out finding the net against Tony's super GK and all round well drilled outfit
