Not much to say here. Terrible performance by Lens. At the end of the day the players have to perform. The game plan was good, the team just did not execute. We had a slight edge in possession but did not create much. Defensively we were poor. If not for 18 saves by Samba it would have been considerably worse. Coincidentally the goal keeper inherits the captain's armband this weekend. Rumor around the dressing room is a players only meeting has already been called.

We missed the talisman today and felt we'd just focus on getting minutes in for one, keeping it tight for two, and yeah we'd have took a draw honestly before the game. It was a quiet game with both teams playing 5 man DF's and counter football. Union simply was the better side, in the second half we opened up and to be honest it did us no favours, but we had another super sub, a player we need to get a few more minutes came on and with his first action of the season stole the win.
For all the stat people, yes this was probably one of the worst displays you will see for sure but with what we have we take wins how they come and to be joint top is another milestone we never thought we'd get this season. We keep going and keep focusing on points and hopefully, the prize money.Comment
