Well that’s one the fans will remember for years to come. With Fulham having to field a 13 rated GK, we knew we would have to try and taken advantage of that and we did. We had very little possession but made the most of our opportunities. We move into the top ten in the table and have more wins than losses now. Onwards and upwards.
Probably the game of the round as this back and forth game saw us extend the unbeaten start to 8 games.
In a fairly open game where it started out E vs P, the hosts wasted little time in taking control of the game as they were ahead after just 9 minutes and we were left chasing the game, switching to A.
We got back on level terms after 26 minutes and reverted back to P but in first half stoppage time, the hosts retook the lead and we went in at the break a goal behind.
Into the second half and things went from bad to worse as Middlesbrough doubled their advantage just a minute after the restart, we were staring down the barrel of our first defeat.
2 goals in 2 minutes less than 10 minutes after Boro had made it 3-1 and we were back on terms at 3-3.
Being level didn't last long as we fell behind once again on 62 minutes, only to make it 4-4 on 69 minutes. Surprisingly there were no further goals in the game and each team earned a point.
Statistically, other than possession, it was dead even so a draw was the fair result. Good game Cliff.
A decent point on the road for Luton, as despite the home side's league position, they have a decent side.
We had to fight back from a goal down twice, and it was the home side who had the better of the stats, so a decent point for sure.
The goals game from Nunez, and Bradley, and unfortunately Davies went off injured and will miss two games.
The side stay in third place, and there a few team changes for next week, with Jovic the big signing up front, alongside a new defender, midfielder, and back up striker.
