    Blackburn 4-2 Chelsea

arguably our best performance so far this season, was a little worried going into the game with Chelsea’s form but we’ve done well ourselves lately too, I thought I’d mix up our system and throw out the A and L as we’ve used C and D a lot lately and I think it worked a treat for us, the stats suggest a draw was probably the fairer result but we’ll take the luck from this.

being 18 games into the season and only 6 points behind the leaders, we can’t be too upset with that.

good luck for the second half Steve

      Leicester City 1-3 MANCHESTER UNITED

We started slow and didn't get going until 10 minutes in, also known as after Leicester scored! We levelled from Adeyemi just before the half hour mark and then we tweaked the set up a bit and found ourselves 2 up shortly after, Luis Diaz making it 3 in 3 since joining. Into the second half we had a goal ruled out and cemented the win through Valverde with 20minutes left. The game itself turned out as you'd expect but I think we should still be pushing for more, yes we were away from home but still, given the set ups of the two teams I did hope for a more convincing and comfortable day, but we'll take what we got.

        Blackburn Rovers 4 - 2 Chelsea

Tough loss verses a team who sent overtures for me to manage them in the pre season. With other results, a win here would have sent us top of the league, but unfortunately we stumbled at that hurdle as we dodged left when we should have gone right, as Blackburn mixed things up tactically to get the win. Congrats to Tony on the win, close game on the stats, but Tony took us a little off guard with the opening tactics and that was probably the difference maker. Dalot and Odegaard scored our goals. That's 5 in 3 games for Ode, enough to see his purple patch of form earn a move to the EFL1 with Atletico Madrid and we will be sorry to see him go as he has really developed under Talbot this season.

Absolutely hate playing against randoms. All you can really do is set up in the way that you believe is best suited to your team and see how it goes. We were fortunate to see our passing approach get the tactical bonus and by the 13th minute it more or less looked game over as we led 2-0. At the back of your mind you're always worried when you have a back up GK playing but for the 3rd game in a row (all away from home) Bolat kept a clean sheet. He really has been a terrific deputy for Onana.

The Premier League table is looking utterly ridic with only 6 points separating the top 10 sides. At this stage at least there doesn't look to be anyone that's a class apart from the rest. Our next opponents Leeds Utd certainly have the quality both on the park and in the dug out to finish as champions. After a sensational start they've hit the buffers of late but they are due a win so I suspect we're going to have to be at our very best.

            Arsenal 3 - 1 Watford

A fixture that really nothing less than three points from would have done. With the table being so tight right now and following our loss to Burnley in the last round it was a perfect chance to get back to winning ways and we did just that with a first goal for the club from Saka and a double from Timo Werner. A game in which we dominated also so its nice to play well and get the result our efforts deserved. We had to work for it though with Watford lining up with a solid 541 which has proved tough to break down in the past. The table still so close with just a few points separating a bunch of clubs, nobody can allow any slip up right now.

A busy week ahead with West Ham away next and a possible Captain change on the horizon for the club.

            Played mate.
