After 4 successive draws in this competition we were absolutely desperate for a win in this one and in a fairly tight game (5 shots on target to 3) we put in one of our most clinical performances since I arrived here to come away with a vital 3 points.

We were fairly certain what we'd be facing and we matched up tactically feeling optimistic that our counter attacking style could out do theirs. We scored early to settle the nerves and back up GK Bolat again produced a solid display to keep Monaco out. Rashford added a 2nd from the spot and de Jong's late 3rd really was the icing on the cake.

Still all to play for going into the final game. We'll be going to Southampton looking to win to try and clinch top spot in the group but obviously if you offered me 2nd I'd happily bite your hand off.
