Teamsheets MUST be in by 3pm on Game Day
BONANZA DETAILS COMING SOON
First North London derby for me and an emotional moment, boys played great actually and probably dominated if anything but the extra bit of class showed in a game that seemed to be all about defenders shooting! Got the tactics right and on another day would have come away with something here but no complaints, see you back at our place at the business end Darren, cheers mate
Another defeat, not good. We deserved to lose too.
I think I need to start approaching this differently. We have faced C or D in almost every game this season, possibly 2 or 3 games aside, so I’m giving everyone tactical advantage. I’m going to have to start using E and N more I think as it’s beginning to unwind.
Season 2 Premier League Champions - Leeds
Season 2 Conference Champions - Porto
This is the type of performance we should be rattling out and its frustrating to come away with 2 more goals against us. We deserved the win, and to be honest the gulf in the teams was evident today. We had some good performers and we did what we needed, win the game and get the 3 points. It's all we have to do, keep picking up wins. We've dropped too may points this season, we know that and we are doing all we can to turn the form around.
We've got 2 new faces coming in, and theres a few more irons in the fire, we'll keep tabs on the markets but we'll hopefully see more goals now as the season goes on, we just somehow need to stop conceding them.
To say we controlled this game would be an understatement with an 18-0 shot count in our favour. Our GK went off injured after 3 mins which was a massive blow but thankfully his back up was never tested. We had to wait until just before HT to take the lead through an unlikely source in Hummels and it wasn't until de Jong added a 2nd in the 75th minute that we were totally able to relax.
Expected the C and finally plucked up the courage to play E. I did like the way we set up with the players that we now have at our disposal but you just never know with E it's just such an unpredictable tactic. Must be the first time I've won playing that in about 20 seasons. Hopefully this can be something we can depend upon moving forward against the barrage of C's.
Onana being ruled out for 3 games is a bit of a disaster for us. His 2nd injury absence of the season already although on the bright side at least he can't concede penalties from the treatment table I suppose. We've moved quickly to bring in an old friend in Bolat to replace him but there's still a significant drop off in quality.
The first North London derby of the season went the way of the home side thanks to goals from Defenders Raum and former Spurs loanee Aaron Hickey. A solid performance by The Gunners saw them take all three points in a vital game that closes the gap on Spurs who still sit above them in second place. Although it was the away aside who saw more of the ball throughout, the all important stats went in Arsenals favour being two goals scored from unlikely sources.
The Arsenal boss spoke after the game ;
" A massive in both ours and Spurs season so to get the win is very special. Tim has taken over Spurs and has done so well this season, maybe not many expected it so quickly but he has hit the ground running and having a superb season. We had to work very hard for the win, we created more chances but at times did struggle to get a foot hold on the game with them havig=ng more possession but overall a great game by both sets of players and thankfully all three points for us ".
Good win on the road despite kayode being sent off in the 10th minute, which meant we played most of the game with 10 men. Dalot, Sanches and two goals from Odeegaard who has been on fire secured a decent three points.
