BONANZA DETAILS COMING SOON
With Millwall in nose bleed territory and trying to beat the Club record of three wins in a row we went into this game a bag of nerves.
Those nerves settled when Yosuf Kabadayi scored with the first action of the game to give us an important lead. But they ramped up again considering we had conceded tactical advantage from the start of the match.
In games like this you need your star players to step up and we don't have many of those So I was ecstatic when Cody Gakpo's effort slipped through the Huddersfield keepers hands to give us a two goal lead on a goal scoring debut.
We then got tactical advantage and just as I was about to relax Huddersfield halved the deficit and the nerves kicked in again. We went back to our passing game and saw the game out virtually dominating the final 22 minutes.
For the first time in our history we have won four League games on the trot and behind Sheffield United on goal differences and three points behind our FA Cup Quarter Final opponents Fulham who lead the pack.
We need to keep plugging away and maybe take a valium before reading Wednesday's match report
On the wrong end of a very close match in the end, which I'd have never guessed after we went 3-0 down before half time. At least it was an absolute ab fest for both teams!
Brentford record back to back wins for the first time this season which lifts them up to 17th and just 8 points from the play off places. We used our tried and tested 4-4-2 P set up while Forest came at us with an attacking lineup. It was us who took the lead, after 14 minutes and after a quick tactics change 2-0 just 5 minutes later.
We made it 3-0 before half time and we looked to be in complete control but a gal early in the second half for the visitors got them back into the game and when they added a 2nd with 13 minutes to play it was game on. Fortunately we held out for a 3-2 win.
We had the better of the stats so we deserved the slender win. Good game Hoa.
Good point in the road away on the south coast. With both teams setting up with A, I did expect more goals but come half time it was still 0-0. The home side went ahead soon after and we changed to a C which eventually got us back in the game. Dane Scarlett again showing what a good signing he has been with another well taken goal. We're getting better as the season progresses.
The Blades well and truly dominated this one. I'm not sure if Kels is still around but her team are way better than most in the division.
We tried to limit the damage, but played poorly, and deserved the result.
We will keep making changes to try and get the side a bit better and younger, though having a low rated keeper is quite a handicap for results, so we may have to look at that at mid season.
The only aim for this week now is to get Zielinksi the one pass he needs to be sold as a 21!
