    Chelsea 1 - 0 Cardiff City

    A "comfortable 1-0" victory for the Spice Boys with ASM getting the only goal of the game in the first half. We should have had more really, but we were happy to take any win to be honest after our recent misfortune. A much needed three points see's us climb up into 12th place and within striking distance of the teams above and around us. Meanwhile towards the top City lost to Barnsley in a surprise, it really does look like we might have new champions this season with Leeds United absolutely steamrolling the league at the moment with 9 wins from 10 games. It's a very interesting season so far.

      Everton 0-1 MANCHESTER UNITED

      We deserved a more comfortable result, but away from home we'll take the three points and another cleansheet. On performance it was very one sided and convincing but we now have to start finding the ruthless clinical edge and start scoring more goals. Ansu Fati is on a barren run and needs to pull his finger out, or changes might be looked at, we need him to get going and start firing with some huge games coming up. I won't say we've found form, but the results have been steadier recently, but the next two weeks have some big games which will make or break our season.

        Liverpool 2 - 1 Arsenal

        The Gunners returned back to North London after their second visit to Anfield but failed to get revenge on the cup defeat just two days ago. A slightly better performance from Arsenal but on the whole, it was Liverpool who were in full control once again and got the three points on offer.

        The Arsenal boss spoke after the game ;

        " We should have learnt from the first game two days ago but we didn't really and although we set up slightly different, they picked us off fairly easily. Not to many positives to take from the game if I'm honest, even our goal come from of their payers so its clear that right now something isn't going right and we need to work on that be it new signings or changes to our setup and approach. We have been working on some possible incomings to the roster over the last week and have been close but not quite there in terms of agreeing a deal but we are speaking to a club regarding another option we have and will just have to see how it goes for now but I have full faith in the players we have to turn the little run of defeats around and hopefully that starts in our next league game against Everton ".

          Liverpool 2 Arsenal 1

          2nd home game against the Gunners within a couple of days which is never ideal. Both managers changed things tactically from the cup game and we started well and took a deserved lead through Guirassy but just before HT we gifted them a leveller as Savic sent it into his own net.

          It felt like it was going to be another one of those days where we played well but failed to come away with a win but just as I was cursing our inability to win these type of matches up popped substitute Khedira with a 90th minute winner to keep our recent momentum going.

          Very pleasing to beat such a good side and manager and to see us climb the table after our really poor start. Acid test away to Man City next though which will obviously be very difficult.

          Cheers Darren, all the best for the rest of the season mate.
