The random tactic gave the advantage and packed their defence. We lead and tried to shut up shop ourselves, but 10 minutes left 1-1. Then in extra time we let in 3 more goals.

All in all we didn't play well, the home and TA was obviously too potent for us, and we crash out with what can only be described as a shite performance.

A professional performance against League One opposition at the Den saw Millwall progress to the 3rd round of the FLT Cup for the first time.

Goals from Romain Esse and Ivan Toney in the 11th and 47th minute was just the tonic in a game that saw Henning Matriciani, Casper De Norre and Duncan Watmore meet their minutes obligation.

Even though this is a two bob Cup the additional 500k gate receipts for the next round will be welcomed.

Rotherham 0-1 Luton

Nice to see Luton progress to the third round of the FLT cup. We were up against league one opposition, so we chanced getting some squad players minutes, and it worked out ok, though it was hardly a dominant performance.
Adebayo scored the only goal of the game in the second half, and there were some good abs for Anderson and Stephens too.
Clark finally got his uprate, and has earned himself a move to Stockport.

One of those games really. Had TA, battered them, didn’t score, lost on pens. We move on.

Norwich City 1 - 1 Lens >> Norwich wins on pens

Much like every one else losing on penalties sucks. I thought we were evenly matched on paper but Norwich out played us and deserved to win. With all the chances they had Samba was the real hero to keep us in the match. We were hoping to have a decent run in the cups but were knocked out after one match in both. Now our sole focus will be on the league.
