Juventus 1 - 1 Lazio


This was a fine result for us against one of the big dogs I think switching keepers cost us game 26mins left and we took off keeper and then he conceded the goal so maybe something to look at but getting anything from this game was always going good great game AB

Juventus 1 - 1 Lazio

A poor result for us at home against the worst side in the division up to now, but Lazio are a good team so it’s not too disappointing however being at home we’d have expected to claim all 3 points rather than being rescued by our 15 rater.

We knew Lazio would play 52- - - C as I saw Ed telling Ryan to play that on discord so we started with E but switched every 15 minutes.
We didn’t take advantage when we had TA and it was when Lazio had TA that they took the lead on 39 minutes.

We both switched so it was A vs their E but we still couldn’t make the break through. A few more tactical changes later the game was coming to an end and super sub J_Kade popped up with the goal to break Lazio hearts and send us home with a point.

Statistically we were the better team so to only draw is frustrating. Despite a good start to the season, I’m not happy with the team so far and we need to pick up the pace.

Bayer Leverkusen 1-4 Real Madrid

With barely a minute of the game gone Leverkusen shocked the Los Blancos faithful with an opening goal but it looked a matter of time before the deficit would be overturned. With the home side now in overdrive front man Rodrigo levelled the game back up before the ten minute mark and then put his team in front before the twenty minute mark. With a foothold now in the game we slowly but surely turned the screw on the opposition, Dest gave us a two goal advantage before the prolific Rodrigo secure secured another hat trick at the death.

Fiorentina 4-2 Inter Milan

Finally! a win. Despite Inter's good start to the season, I thought it might be game we could get something from, and started with a little more adventurous P, working out against their N initially. However, they scored first, and it was up to two defenders, Sule and Telles to put us in front before half time. Diaz then got his shooting boots back on, and scored twice the second half, with Inter getting one in between.
Stats wise it was a close game, but with both keepers having a poor game, the difference was their keeper was even worse! getting injured from getting the ball out of the net so often. Ul dude.
It was nice to see young Zeze come on and have a good game too.
Hopefully now we have finally won, we can kick on, particularly in Europe in midweek.

Atletico Madrid 2 Feyenoord 0

Feyenoord came with a plan to sit deep and defend. Thankfully it only took 20 minutes for Sessegnon to volley the home side in front. Expecting a shift in tactics from the away side which never came. Perhaps they are hoping to keep their goal difference down without having a go at getting points on the board. Pieters made the game safe on 89 minutes but Feyenoord only had 1 shot all game. A shot count of 9-1 on some days would have produced a 0-0 game so it will be interesting to see if Feyenoord continued defensive tactics at other top EFL sides.

Marsh commented "I never have a problem with managers playing defence. Its something I have used many times over 20 years and once won an European Cup in a different dimension elsewhere playing for penalties. Strange though that at 1-0 down they never came out even for a last 20 minutes go at us. We wont grumble because its a much needed victory that see us up to 7th place.

PSG 0 - 1 Sevilla
A rare home defeat for the french club. We started the game with Home advantage and tactical advantage, yet conceded in the first minute against 2 x 21 FWs. We then peppered the Sevilla goal, but were unable to get past the weaker GK. Despite having twice as many shots, the better GK, and far superior shooting stats, on this occasion we were unable to score, and we can only put it down to a bad beat.
