Schalke 1 - 3 Atalanta

We made it two wins on the spin with this hard thought victory against a stubborn Schalke side.

In a fairly even game, we took our chances when they presented themselves to us, whist Perin ensured we returned back to Italy with all three points with a number of fine saves.

The only downside to the game was the stupidity of Scalvini who was sent off for a second bookable offence in injury time with the game already won.

RB Salzburg 0 - 0 Lens

Not the most exciting match. 50-50 on possession, Salzburg had a slight edge in shots on target. Buchmann earned his EFL 2 leading third Man of the Match award, he has been a great addition to our team. Lens have shown they can defend but scoring goals is a challenge so far. We will have to review our tactics and make the necessary adjustments.

SHAKHTAR DONETSK 1-2 Valencia

They have just a little bit more quality than us in their squad and that was the difference in the result. I couldn't be more pleased with the showing as we ran them for their money and matched them all game. On another day we'd get a different result. But the only think which I can bemoan is the instant response from levelling the tie, no sooner had they kicked off they scored and against a man light we didn't seize the opportunity. But it was an action packed game, just a shame we come away pointless.
