    Barnsley 5 - 3 Chelsea

I skulked off last night after our defeat trying to avoid the press, but yet we are the first to face the media. Come on Prem lads!

Took this game as a free hit with us deploying a 19 rated goalkeeper. The plan was to nick the first goal with our superior outfield players, then tighten up. It went the other way though as Ratti could not repeat his heroics from the Man utd game and we were soon 5-1 down against Ant's Tyke army. To our credit, we showed some grit and came back into it in the 2nd half and despite easily winning the stats doubling the home teams shot count 14-28, the goalkeeper was the difference and we will take our first defeat of the season like a man on the chin - and hope for a better display from Ratti in the Champions League!

      Leeds United 2 - 4 Leicester City

Tough one to take this one. We were pretty dominant and going off the stats this is a bit of a freak result. That said, no moaning and bitching to be heard here. This happens in FFO and in real life football. It is frustrating but all we can do is dust ourselves off and focus on the next game whilst congratulating Darren on a great win for him. Well done mate.
It leaves us at the top of the table and it’s the first game we have failed to win so far this season in all competitions. I’d have taken this start if I was offered it, so it’s time to refocus.

      Well played Darren.

        Blackburn Rovers 1 - 1 Cardiff City

Cardiff City secured a valuable 1-1 draw against Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park. Manager Matt Rose praised his team's resilience and tactical discipline. M_Götze opened the scoring for Cardiff in the 38th minute with a blistering shot that left Blackburn's keeper R_Majecki with no chance. Despite conceding the majority of possession to Blackburn, Cardiff's defence held firm, with standout performances from N_Osborne and J_Vestergaard.

However, Blackburn equalised in the 58th minute through M_Salah, who capitalised on a momentary lapse in Cardiff's defence. Rose made several strategic substitutions to maintain the pressure and secure the draw. Cardiff City's disciplined performance was evident in their defensive work, despite picking up five yellow cards. Rose acknowledged the need for caution in future games but was overall pleased with his team's effort and the crucial point earned away from home.

          Sheff Weds 0 Spurs 1

Despite Wednesday’s start I expected this to be a tough game and it was - them having a player sent off certainly helped us and the man Bailey keeps finding the back of the net, pleased with the 3 points and our first few games in general

            West Ham 2 - 1 Burnley

Honestly lucky to come out this game with the win, very even on chances both teams took but Pope decided to stand in the middle of goals this time and actually make some saves! Felt E was coming out and nope P. Good game Simon.

              Arsenal 3 - 0 Crystal Palace

Always nice to get a result in a London derby and after the draw in our last game this was just the result to lift some morale although it came at the expense of the mighty Eagles. We set up expecting to face a five at the back, a tactic Lee like to use so we went a bit more top heavy to try and cause problems and it worked with goals all coming in the first twenty six minutes from Pino, Joe Gomez and Reece James while we limited them to just one attempt on target at the same time.

Games against Lee are usually hard fought affairs as he sets up a tough side to break down and although we wont three nil today, the stats do suggest that we had to work for it. A return of ten points from five games now which is decent enough and with some of the other games going our way, its been a good day in the office.

Played Lee, best of luck for the season mate.

                  MANCHESTER UNITED 2-2 Watford

Another infuriating game on our part, we did everything right and dominated the tie but concede another late goal to go away with a point. It's the second game where we didn't get what we deserved and we should be in a much better position in the league, but such is the way it goes sometimes, it is what it is. There's not a lot we can do about it, but keep plugging away with some big games coming up, our form will turn and we'll start getting the rewards we deserve.
