    FC Barcelona 1-0 Roma

"Obviously a great result in a very tight affair where no side wanted to give the other a moment to breathe, the Roma boss was very confident he was going to come here and get 3 points and I think hes now understanding this league isnt as easy as he had hoped, its a disappointing start for them an unfortunately one they might have to get used to after so many seasons of success under Derek Hughes, this was a game where a moment of quality was the only way to win it and Rodri popped up with that for us, obviously 7 points is a great start out of 3 games for us, but with El Classico in the cup on Wednesday, 2 more league fixtures and then the start of the Champions League group stage, tough games come thick and fast when you are Barcelona manager."

      Borussia Dortmund 0-7 Real Madrid

The Real Madrid manager Ian Greaves content with the fact that he can continue his Family Holiday safe in the knowledge that his co commentator is on hand to keep the rest of the FFO community up to date with everything that happens on the pitch during his games. You would though presume that the said commentator would also feel the need to level the playing field and enlighten us as to the fact his first two League opponents played directly into his teams hands but strangely keeps stum regarding those facts. Any way must go, need to get ready for another day out so unfortunately I won't be around that much, fear not though Ed will be around to keep you up to date with everything Real Madrid.

        Juventus 3 - 2 Atletico Madrid

A huge game for us against a team & manager I don’t think we’ve beaten before, and if we have it’s been very few and far between.

Both teams set up with 5-1-2-0-2 C and it was us who took an early lead, with captain Gimenez putting us ahead after just 9 minutes.

Atletico had to open up now and did so by switching tactics to P while we stuck with what we started with, gifting us TA in the game.

The rest of the half was goalless and fairly even as we went into the break a goal to the good and in an unfamiliar position in this fixture.

Into the second half and things went from good to great just past the hour mark as Gimenez doubled our advantage on 61 minutes, quickly followed by another tactical change by Marshy & Atletico as they changed from P to A on 65 minutes.

It was at this point I said to myself’I never beat Marshy’ and then the inevitable happened….Goals on 72 & 76 minutes from the visitors pulled them level at 2-2 and we were looking at another game in this fixture where we couldn’t finish the job however there was one final twist just 1 minute after Atletico switched back to their starting tactic of C, matching us, as Gimenez completed his hat trick sealing all 3 points.

Statistically it was a fairly even game with Atletico creating more chances but we were due a win vs Atletico so we’ll take it.

        Good game Marshy

          Juventus 3 Atletico Madrid 2

The first major test for Atletico this season against a side who many tip for third place this season. With both sides starting the game with the same line up and tactics neutrals may have expected the teams to even themselves out. Juventus had other ideas firing themselves into an early lead. The game looked over when Juve scored again on 61 minutes. Atletico dropped to a 4-man defence and went on the attack and quickfire double looked to have turned the game on its head. Perhaps Atletico should have continued the attack? A return to starting game tactics brought a further goal to Juventus. Atletico can count themselves unfortunate winning the shot count 12-9.

Marsh commented "That was a really good effort tonight and we just didnt get much fortune. We will have to pick ourselves up for a tough cup draw midweek now and then its Rangers in the league. A long way to go this season".

          Good game AB

            Fiorentina 3-3 AC Milan

These are the games that Fiorentina fans have been looking forward to in EF1, and what a cracker it was.
Fiorentina started with the tactical advantage, but that went out the window as we gave away an early penalty and changed things up.
Diaz was the star yet again for Fiorentina, with 2 goals in the game, but even he was fallible, missing a penalty.
Each time Fiorentina pulled back, AC Milan went ahead again, and it looked all over when Messi scored from a second penalty for Milan late on, and the visitors changed to defensive, however super sub Lasme stepped up and got a third equaliser.
Stats wise is was fairly even, good game dude.

Positives - Diaz scores two more, fantastic comebacks, unbeaten in the league
Negatives - 3 weeks injury to Coutinho, conceding 3 goals, not won in the league!
