I didn't personally know Dave Phillips outside the world of ESMS. The man I did get to know here was gracious and wise. Someone who could talk to anyone and was respected by everyone.
It means a lot to win this trophy. Not because it is an accomplishment or addition to the trophy cabinet. But because it honors a tremendous individual who left us way too soon. RIP Dave. You're still missed.
