MANCHESTER CITY 1-1 MANCHESTER UNITED
MANCHESTER UNITED WIN 3-0 ON PENALTIES
It was a tense match which was so close in the end and we got the rub of the green on the penalty shoot out.
If this was a league game we got the right result of a draw but in cup football someone has to win.
The game was tight as mentioned we kept our caution as we knew we'd have to keep them out to stand any real chance, and I think Nick had the same idea as both teams played similar set ups. As the game went on, we kept caution City started to open up and play more ambitiously but in the 90 minutes it was both teams making chances but no one fortunate to score. Injury time crops up and City struck first and yes, you think that's it but we reacted by throwing more attackers on and we managed to level it through The Saint just before the break in extra time.
We go to penalties and we held our nerve making a clean sweep which is a harsh way to settle a tie.
I can only say unlucky to Nick on the day and what a final to be part of.
I'm sure I'm right, I'm the only person to make a final in every season of FFO 2, but this was the first final I had a full squad to my disposal, but 2/3 wins isn't too bad in those circumstances.
I'll decide my future soon, I will either stay at United or walk away from FFO. -
