Red Bull Salzburg 0-2 SHAKHTAR DONETSK

Dominated from start to finish! There was only ever going to be one winner in this one.................. Said The Red Bull manager!

That's what you'd think, we got dominated and this is what you call, well I don't know what to say. On the game we started slower of the two but too the lead, we then changed to long ball and basically was the signal to lose it, Bodnar first sent off then Wallace meaning we finished with 9 men, and 3 defenders on the pitch.

We got over ran, dominated and yet cemented the game with a late goal, before Salzburg lost it a bit a joined us in getting a man sent off.

Just a comical game, and I'm sorry for Dave, but we tried something new for this team..... technically it worked, got us the result, but I don't know how!

We have those 10 points I set us a few games ago, we now play 2 teams in the top 6 next, so staying in the top half is an uphill task with the missing men we have but we'll give it a go, as always 9 left to play for, lets have a bit of fun!

      Feyenoord 1 - 3 Eintracht Frankfurt

“When it rains, it pours” reverberated around DeKuip by disgruntled fans after the match. A devastating loss at the hands of Eintracht Frankfurt in front of a packed house, had fans ranting and raving trhoughout the match. The visitors got the ball rolling in the 14th minute when MoM S_Rode, received a beauty of a pass from H_Smolcic. Melendo evened the score in the 55th but it was not enough. Beto would add to the score for the visitors in the 78th, and again on a penalty shot in the 97th of injury time.

Sadly for the tubboys cramps in the 49th minute were too much for defender M_Pederson and he was forced to leave the pitch. As the old adage goes bad things come in pairs or is it “good things come in pairs?”, it doesn't really matter; leg cramps got the better of O_Idrissi in the 97th as well and his day was toast..

A pathetic two game homestand for Feyenoord earns them 1 big point. It seems like the pressure this time of the season might be a little much for the tubboys.

        Union Berlin 1-0 Fiorentina

Disappointing result, bringing to an end a good run of form.
It was one of those games however, where the lads played well enough to win, but didn't.
We knew Berlin weren't going to be a pushover, having lost only 9 times all season, and what has been a free scoring attack couldn't find a way past them. Stats wise, we had 60% possession, and twice as many shots, but that's the way it goes sometimes.
Fortunately the teams around us continue to have mixed results as well, so the fans aren't panicking just yet
We have two tough games to go however versus sides in the top 6, so nothing is certain.

Positives - Decent games for some of the defenders, teams around us had mixed fortunes
Downsides - Harsh loss, couple of bookings, jitters setting in!
