Madrid 0-1 AC Milan

Its not very often you get to face the best team in the league with 3 players missing. With the key being 2 mids therefore a real struggle for Madrid to hold try middle.

Usually I would play C when away against this sort of side, a damage limitation attempt, but I decided to go with P with the aim to dominate midfield.

Dominate would not be the right word, but Lady Luck was certainly shining on us as Madrid failed to score despite being given a penalty.

That secures champions league spot and with Juventus losing puts us in prime position for 4th place and the best of the rest trophy.

Unlucky Steve and good luck for the run in.

Celtic 4-1 Barca

"Unfortunately with one of our best dfs out we were going to have to go and play open football at Celtic Park and much like the game against Juve, we had the better of it but found ourselves on the end of another 4-1 drumming which is very strange to be identical 2 games apart, Ben yedder probably the best signing Celtic have ever had so fair play to him, we move on to the other side in Glasgow next and we need a positive result if we are going to stay inside the Champions League places."

Real Madrid 0 - 1 AC Milan

I feel like we prepapred for this game well, and set up as well as we could have including changes at the right times. It just wasn't our night. Well dlone to Jason for the win here tonight. We may have been unlucky, with the missed pen and all, but full credit to Milan and we must get right back on the horse for some tough games ahead. One saving grace was that nobody got further banned for the next game to add to our tally.

PSG 4 - 2 Juventus

We knew coming into this one it would be a tough ask to get anything from this game and with recent results costing us 4th place we were happy to travel to Paris and play open football without any worries on the result.
We opted for P while our hosts went all out attack.

Just 11 minutes in, we were behind and the tactics flipped as we moved to A and PSG moved to a more cautious P.
1-0 became 2-0 just 6 minutes later and the game was over for us.

We pulled one back on 28 minutes but by 31 it was 3-1 and by 35 it was 4-1.
A worthless goal just after the restart made it 4-2 but we ran out comfortable losers in this one.

Statistically we were the better team but up against the mighty PSG you need to have some luck along with the better of the game. Unfortunately for us we didn't have this. Along with this, our GK and one of our defenders went down in skill as a result of the game....Frustrating.

Bayern Munich 3 Atletico Madrid 3

With time running out for Atletico this season they really needed to win this game. A great start and 0-2 up it was looking good until the chunky world class Willy scored 2 in 2 minutes to stun Atletico. It got even worse when Bayern went in front and whilst Atletico forced a draw overall it might not be enough with only 4 games to go.

Manager Simon Marsh commented "An entertaining game for the fans and its a useful point. We just have to put a good run together in the last 4 games. We have Inter and Lazio are home so we can claw points back on them both and Marseille at home and Monaco away. We have to get 10-12 points".
