    Juventus 2 - 2 Atletico Madrid

A game between the 4th & 5th best teams in the league on paper but with us missing our top striker Joao_Felix and Atletico being totally out of form this season.

We knew we were at a disadvantage being without one of our stars and despite their league position, we knew our opponents had a lot of talent both on and off the pitch.

Onto the game and it turned into being one where if you held TA, the other team scored which was frustrating for us as I'm sure it was for Marshy too.

We set up positively with P while Atletico played N, thus giving us TA but just 11 minutes in, we fell behind.

The tactics changed to A vs C and we had the better of the rest of the half but the minutes just before and after half time would shape the game. Just before the break Atletico were denied a penalty and just 5 minutes into the second half, we WERE awarded a penalty which we scored to make it 1-1.

Back to P vs N and the visitors started to get a grip on the game and after a switch to C on 60 minutes giving them TA, we made it 2-1 just a minute later.

Atletico would soon after switch to A while we sat back with C but our lead didn't last long as it was 2-2 on 68 minutes and it was 2-3 a minute later but it was ruled out thankfully.

We shaded the rest of the game but we couldn't take advantage of it and the game ended 2-2.

Statistically we shaded the game, probably not enough to win the game. Atletico were very clinical with 10 shots on target from 11 shots. Good game Marshy.

    Barcelona 2-1 AC Milan

If I was to say “I don’t mind losing” I would be lying and I imagine everyone here is in the same boat, we want to win, that’s the ultimate goal. But, this is one of those games where I get to the end and go “I didn’t deserve to win”, but that doesn’t mean I like it.

There is however, one thing much worse than losing. That is being the first team to have lost to Sam’s Barcelona, I can’t shake that dreadful title that will be attached to me for the rest of my life. I’ll wear it with shame, people will ring bells and chant “loser”, “loser” to me as I walk down the street. I don’t know how I can bounce back from this result.

    Good game sam

      Juve 2 Atletico Madrid 2

This one will go down as a baffling esms game for sure. Atletico in their last 2 matches despite being at home but without TA couldn't muster any sort of effort. Today away from home and against TA Atletico could somehow find a performance and goals to gain a point. A very odd game to a very odd season.

Manager Simon Marsh commented "We probably needed more than a point but its a very good one considering recent form. 8 games to go and our run-in should hopefully see some improved results. We need a strong finish otherwise it will be failure to reach the champions league after 4 seasons involved".

      Minutes news
      E_Stevens needs 18 more minutes.
      On-loan M_Kilman needs 53 more minutes.

      Good game AB

        Barcelona 2-1 AC Milan

"It's great to finally up and running, we had a strange first 2 games and by no means did we play poorly in those games, today was a big one, with us starting to slip away and possibly fall out of the CL places we got the win we needed, we were the better side and it was nice to convert chances which we haven't done in the first 2 games, the side is now set up after todays transfers for the run in and my hope is we can perform and get the win like we did today in more games to come, Jason's surprised a lot this season, It's a shame he is moving on at the end of the season, but I get it, we wish him well and hopefully we will see him back in the EFL soon".

          Real Sociedad 0 - 4 Real Madrid

All indicators predicted a 0-4 win for RM in this one and that's exactly what we got, it took three late goals though to give the scoreline some padding. The win keeps the pressure on the chasing challengers PSG and Roma, with the latter dropping points by losing at Leverkusen.

Some tough games coming up though, so our focus remains. Next up is Drum's Lazio.

            Rangers 0 - Inter Milan 0

Not really a lot to say about this one. Neither team did enough to take all 3 points, but equally neither team deserved to lose!

We got some minutes into Marquis as he made his first appearance of the season but apart from that nothing of any note happened in the match and a point doesn't really do either team any favours in our respective battles!

On to Bayern next and hopefully a return to winning ways!

Good game Burrows, good luck for the rest of the season
