    SHAKHTAR DONETSK 1-1 Benfica

We deserved more than we got here, against a strong side. Benfica chose to play for some minutes it seems in some areas as we've done before. But we played the better football and even though we trailed I always felt we'd get what we deserved. It did come late on, but we'll the point. We've got some movement in the team next week with loans returning, and with just 1 player who we can focus on meeting minutes, hopefully we can flex and tweak a for the sprint as we try claim a top half finish.

      Feyenoord 2 - 1 Schalke

An impressive display of discipline from the visitors who were handed everything but the kitchen sink. The home-sides twenty-five attempts at goal, thirteen of them on target; possession at 61%, easily taken care of by Die Knappen, well deserved praise to Schalke who came to play. With the visitors taking the lead early in the first, two minutes into the match to be exact; there seemed to be no need for concern, probably a lucky goal. However, by the 60th minute and still no goal for the home side, the serene atmosphere at De Kuip quickly changed to a boisterous and bullish harp, an intense feeling of angst took over the arena as the ultras began to beat their drums for battle. Luckily Feyenoords 45th minute sub S_Szymanski saw the light in the 78th minute and belted a beauty of a kick that tore through the opponents net equalling the score at one. And like every good fairy-tale the good guys win in the end, two minutes after the tying goal, P_Goncalves’ match winner, off a pass from D_Hancko would make him today's hero.

In Bucks own words, “its matches like this that give me ulcers”.

        Frankfurt 1-1 Fiorentina

Decent performance, but not the result we wanted, though Frankfurt are in the playoff places, so maybe an away draw is a good result.
We got the early goal from Nunez, which brought Frankfurt out of their shell to attack, and early in the second half they hit back.
There were plenty of chances, and we slightly edged the match, but the keepers performed well, making plenty of saves between them. Not many games left now, so each point counts.

Positives - Good performance, good abs for Owusu, Helik and Araujo. Suso man of the match.
Downsides - Araujo gets a suspension for crucial game against Sevilla next.

We secured a much-needed victory and kept a clean sheet against a tough Real Betis side. The match statistics show that we dominated the game, and our control of the game was further helped by a red card shown to a Real Betis player. Alex Baena scored the only goal of the match, which helped us to keep our hopes alive. Before the game, we were worried about our form, but thankfully our overall performance was great and we remain in contention.
