If I lost this game then a lesson will have be learned, saw I was playing Marseille and expected them just to roll out A and therefore seemingly play for abs. More fool me.
Marseille took the lead and it was a long road for us to battle back to win the game, despite the gulf in class. Euan has a tough job and will benefit from dropping down next season. Best of luck with the rest of the season.
The gap to the bottom of the champions league spots is growing with atletico and inter both dropping points, only a complete clusterfuck would see us not finish in the top 8, but we are more than capable of making that happen with the tough fixtures to come in the latter part of the season.
Madrid complete the El Clásico double this season, but this time it was against Manchester United's Steve Outten, rather than Talbot's big rival Graeme Edwards who earlier in the week had decided to step aside after a poor season. Edwards will always be rememberd and go down in history for his Champions League wins and his dodgy 3-way deals.
But tonight Madrid faced an Outten led side which was interesting as next up for Real Madrid after this fixture, will be another clash with Outten's main club Manchester United in the Champions League semi finals. Some observers thought that Outten may use the opportunity to set his teams aggression to 20 to try and crop the Madrid Galaticos but Talbot did not think Outten would stoop to that level.
A clean game of football took place and despite Barca getting a late goal to take the lead, unlike the Napoli game this time there was time to come back into the game and goals from super sub Tadic and Sterling took home a famous win that keeps Madrid top of the league. GG Steve.
We didn't do too great but almost stole it late on with a late goal, just a shame to more followed not long after. Maybe we didn't deserve much, but there's game where it just doesn't click and this was one. My favour is over, the new manager can go do what he needs now and I can focus on the other two sides.
Not much more I can say, was asked to sheet, did so, got beat. Best of luck to the new manager.
A big win for us against one of the teams beneath us looking to catch us.
We stuck with our tried and tested 52003C set up and Inter came to play a passing style of play gifting us TA.
After a first 30 minutes where Inter Milan were clearly the better team, we were still level at 0-0 and 5 minutes later we took the lead from the penalty spot after the Inter GK fouled Joao_Felix in the box.
Felix dusted himself off and put the spot kick away giving us a half time lead after our change in tactics to P.
Into the second half and it was very back and forth but neither team could find the net and we ran out 1-0 winners in a very close tie.
Statistically Inter were the better team but weren't clinical in front of goal. Good game John.
