    MANCHESTER UNITED 2-0 Brighton & Hove Albion

    We killed this one early and there after dominated the game is my brief summary. We missed Valverde for this one and Gravenberch took his place in his last game for us before he moves on to pastures new. Anthony Gordon was the hero today, scoring an early brace, to make it 5 in 9 for him. It was a very good showing against a team and manager who has caused us a lot of issues in recent seasons to be truthful. Earlier this season they turned us over 3-0 and we made an embarrassment of ourselves after a great start to the season.

    We've got some players rating up in areas which will help us as the season goes to the sprint finish. With City dropping points we're just 2 behind them and we'll keep doing all we can to claw the gap back, but with the cups still to juggle we have a big task ahead.

      Aston Villa 1-3 Wolves

      Following on from back to back wins I thought that we had possibly turned a corner, how foolish am I. Wolves went ahead with tactical advantage on their side and decided to defend that lead which also worked in their favour. After we levelled the game the opposition went on to win it with two more.

        Arsenal 3 - 2 Liverpool

        Next up for Arsenal who were looking to get back to winning ways following the defeat to Man City was a visit to North London from under performing Liverpool who will no doubt be looking to try and cement a European place come the end of the season while The Gunners looking to keep the pressure on the the sides at the top of the table.

        A five goal thriller eventually went the way of the home side, a result that the club probably shaded going by the stats although at one point it did look like ending in a draw until Joe Gomez popped up late on with a rare goal to win it after Isak and Chiesa had scored earlier for North London side.

        A much needed win and good to put the defeat in the last round behind them was the message from the Gunners boss after the game ;

        " The best reaction after losing a game is obviously to win the next win so in that respect, pleased that we managed to get the three points. I feel we deserved the win but Liverpool didn't give up and kept coming at us, playing a formation that on occasions has the ability to destroy sides but we held our own and got a big three points.

        As we approach the last quarter of the season now, we have one aim and that is to keep the pressure on the sides around us and not lose to much space on the table. Its so tight, a win could see a team move three or four spaces or a defeat could see a team drop down by the same distance so its in our own hands "
