Chose this game to get the minutes in where needed so don't give a crap about this one.

Well beaten, but when you running a midfield we put out we had nothing to offer. We subbed our best defender too in order to get minutes in elsewhere. Hopefully get a bundle of these done than have a final charge but I said we'd do it, we chose this game as one to do, so it is what it is.

Feyenoord 6 - 1 Atalanta

The Nerazzurri’s performance was much better than the final scoreline. Looking at the post game stats both clubs were able to negate one another on the pitch, the only major difference was shots on target, Feyenoord bettered the visitors by 5.

Q_Timber open the scoring in the 18th, Atalanta responded 16 minutes later levelling the score at 1. Feyenoords winning goal came in the 42nd with D_Hancko receiving a lovely setup pass E_Gutierrez. The matches other goal scorers were P_Goncalves off a penalty in the 53rd after a bad tackle by A_Lookman on Q_Timber, his second came in the 77th. O_Idrissi and Melendo topped the scoring in the 57th and 95th respectively.

The win keeps the tub boys in 5th spot with 38 points, ahead of Eintracht_Frankfurt by 6 and trailing Atalanta by 2. EFL2 leaders Sevilla are in a league of their own with 49 points.

My team displayed a dominant performance and deservedly earned three points. Although the match statistics suggest that we could have scored more than two goals, credit should be given to Atubolu, the Salzburg goalkeeper, who made 13 saves during the game.

Krystian Bielik was the star of the match, scoring two goals from central midfield and receiving the man of the match award. We have now reduced the gap to the playoff places to four points, thanks to our outstanding form in the last six games - four wins, one draw, and one loss. The players displayed a complete performance today.

Lens 2-0 Fiorentina

Oh dear, not a great performance, but not a terrible one either.
It was a fairly even game based on the stats, but the home side were more clinical on the day.
Maybe we could have played different tactics, but the changes in game didn't make much difference
We were missing Zaniolo, who might have added some firepower from midfield, but take nothing away from Lens, they did enough.
The positives were the performances at the back from Cresswell and Christensen, but the main negative was the 2 week injury to captain Wijndal, including for the crucial midweek European QF.
Fortunately neither Sevilla or Valencia won, so the damage to the chase isn't too bad.
