Delighted to have won this game and it was a bit closer than the match statistics probably suggest. We decided to play with the E style expecting PSV to play on the counter but they threw a spanner into the works and their attacking play put them into the lead through Patrick Van Aanholt.

Lucas Alario scored his first goal for the club just before half time and the game was wrapped up with the second to last attempt at goal through Alex Baena. We move up to 12th in the league table and only 6 points from the playoff positions, there's a belief in the team that we can compete towards those places. Onto the next one. Gg Nathan

      Union Berlin 2-1 SHAKHTAR DONETSK

Never look a gift horse in the mouth!

Well, that's what we though, Union missed their 'keeper and so we thought throw everything at them and it simply didn't work. A bit naive for sure and Union deserved their win. No issues on that one, we'll go again and move to the next tie, given our season we can allow the odd game like this, we're still happy where we are but once again, get back to winning sooner we hope.

        Real Betis 2 - 2 Feyenoord

An old style football match at Estadio Benito Villamarin between the hosts Real Betis and Feyenoord ends in a draw. Betis with 20 attempts at goal threw everything but the kitchen sink towards the tub boys keeper, but in end were able to muster 10 on target with two penetrating the net. The visitors on the other hand playing 5 at back had to plan with precision their strikes into opposition territory. Betis opened the scoring in the 31st would see their lead slip away a few minutes later when P_Goncalves was able to even the score in the 39th. The tub boys playing catch-up for most of the match levelled the score for a second time when Melendo scored a beauty in the 64th, negating K_Iheanacho impressive go go ahead goal in the 44th. Overall a well played match by both sides.

          Fiorentina 2-1 Valencia
The big match at the top end of the table saw 3rd place Fiorentina against 2nd place Valencia.
It looked like being a goal fest, with all the goals coming in the first eight minutes in the game, but that ended up being it.
The Russian roulette of tactics fell in our favour, with the P v N. I think Valencia must be getting randoms currently, hopefully Tony will return, as his side as doing well.
The star man was Jovic, with the two early goals, which now puts him top of the scoring table for EF2 with twenty.
The win puts us up to 2nd, after a decent week.
The only downside was a suspension for Zanilio
Next up is a trip to Lens
