Some optimism after another dismal outcome in cup play, M_Berry and D_Gray both score for the tub boys in the 50th and 59th respectively.
The tub boys exit DBC in fine fashion...Win-less. “A true lesson in humility”, were manger Bucks departing words from the DBC tournament. The gaffer also added that “The only positive to come out of all this, is that we can’t do any worse next season, there is only one way from where were sitting and that's up”.
A truly dispiriting performance from an up and coming club with some up and coming players. The local paper are spot on in writing that the club will have to better prepare itself for next season if they want to avoid the same fate.
In all honesty, manager Buck isn’t all to blame, the club lacks depth, sacrificing a few league matches to get a positive outcome without guarantee of success was just to risky an endeavour. We’ll have to wait to see whats on the horizon for Buck and the tub boys. And Finally, congrats to Marseilles and Sheffield_Wednesday on advancing.
