Teamsheets MUST be in by 3pm on Game Day
BONANZA DETAILS COMING SOON
Good show form the team, it was a close game with one of our fellow stragglers of the division. But we left is late thats for sure. Sparta probably thought they was oncourse for a win but once we thought we had nothing to lose, off came a defender, a change upfront, 343 was the difference at the end. Florentino, Edwards and sub Jansen on hand late on to put us back to 7th,
At the halfway stage I couldn't be happier! This team somewhat has no right to be where we are but we're punching and we'll keep punching. We take everything one game at a time, a few minutes to try and be vigilant of but a very pleasing firt half of the season.!
In my first game in charge, the team got off to a very good start. We decided to play an attacking style to take advantage of the home bonus, and fortunately, it paid off. Although we didn't control possession in the game, that was never our intention. However, we did manage to have more shots and shots on target than the opposition, which is why I'm very happy with the team's performance.
Matteo Gabbia, our current captain, and Denis Suarez scored a goal each, and we wrapped up the game 11 minutes before the end. We now have three points in the bag and are continuing to focus on climbing up the league table.
The first half was definitively what the doctor had ordered for the local fans who were spoiled with three unanswered goals in the first 13 minutes. P_Goncalves got the ball rolling in the first minute, receiving a perfectly placed pass up-field from newly arrived midfielder J_Koroma who was more than happy to show manager Buck that he’s worth every penny. The keeper had no chance, P_Goncalves didn’t hesitate placing it in the top right corner, without looking twice the forward ran towards the crowd in celebration of his first minute goal, he was certainly savouring the moment and couldn’t resist glancing at his girlfriend displaying the heart sign.
The second arrived eleven minutes later with Q_Timber heading a bullet off a cross from E_Gutierrez into the net. The atmosphere by this point was fever pitch, supporters waiving their flags and illuminating De Kuip Arena.
The fans were in the midst of celebrating goal number two when out of nowhere tub boys forward O_Idrissi was able to finalize a great play by Q_Timber for goal number three.
Lyon got one back early in the second, A_Lacazette who was causing all sorts of problems for the defence this afternoon got by defender J_Bagan for the visitors lone goal.
Overall Feyenoord showed great discipline throughout the match playing for a well deserved win. Q_Timber’s outstanding performance on the day earned him the MoM.
Oh dear, the rollercoaster of results dips down again, though the neutrals won't be complaining about the goal fest.
Both teams started off with a passing game, and Porto had the better of things in the first half, running off into a 4-1 lead.
Things improved in the second half and Fiorentina at least made it look decent by getting two goals back. We never really looked like managing the comeback though, and based on the stats Porto just about deserved the win.
Downsides were the form of keeper Benitez, who has been stripped of the captaincy.
The positive notes were the two debut goals for Hojlund, and Romero had a good game at the back.
At least we welcome back Camus from suspension for the midweek European decider.
