Sevilla 1-1 SHAKHTAR DONETSK

This is a huge result for us, battered out the cup, missing our best defender we put out something hoping for a draw. We did contemplate playing for minutes but last minute hoped to stay in the game and if all went to shit we'd throw some on where needed. But we lead right to the death and I think we've dropped 8-10 points late on this season late on from winning positions?

But given I thought'd we'd get nothing from this tie a draw is a good result, hopefully we can get 3 points against Sparta Prague to end the first half of the season on a positive.

At the bottom of the EFL2 table, we had nothing else to lose. We changed lineup, change formation, changed tactics, and consulted a wizard. Even with one of our Mids out on suspension, we were able to take a lead and keep even with Lens until the last minute. The extra time goal was sweet redemption for the one we gave a few rounds ago. There are still points to be had, and we're going to press on!

Sparta Prague 3 - 7 Feyenoord

Nothing like a clear and sunny day to watch two centenarian clubs play one-another at the Generali Arena, but then again, it’s always a sunny day when Feyenoord win. Partisans and nonpartisans alike were privy to watch one of the nicest players in the game, a true gentleman P_Goncalves get his first hattrick of the season. The veteran striker has had a hard time of it of late, being more of a play-maker and letting line-mate O_Idrissi handle the scoring. But on this unforgettable night the 26 year would taste glory on 3 occasions, in the 9th, 35th and 94th minutes, pundits are hoping that this will give the striker the confidence needed to return to previous form. Also adding to the scoreline, club-mates O_Idrissi in the 11th, M_Pederson in the 49 & 89th as well Q_Timber in the 60th minute.

Feyenoord return home to play hosts to Olympique Lyonnais in two days time. Nothing more pleasant than football on a Sunday night at De Kuip.

Fiorentina 6-2 Atalanta

Great performance from the lads to see off third place Atalanta in style.
It was an open passing game, though it looked to have backfired, as the away side took the early lead.
Fiorentina hit back in style though, to lead 5-1 at halftime, and whilst the second half couldn't match the first for entertainment the stats showed the home side were worth the win, with 17 shots on target.
It's always slightly frustrating to see player who are leaving play well, but Dembele left in good form.
Jovic was back among the goals after a dry run, and young midfielder picked up 4 assists before getting sent off.
Other results mean it gets tighter at the top
Next up is Porto away, which looks a tricky proposition, particularly with a midfielder out.
