BONANZA DETAILS COMING SOON
A goalfest and you can argue we edged the tie, a draw isn't something we can moan about too much. We trailed 2-0 very early again, but we turned the tie around and as we tied to bolt the doors shut Newcastle broke through to snatch a point.for a 6 goal game it wasn't an overly action packed game really, but 2nd vs 3rd, 6 goals not a bad clash. Maybe we can bemoan the injury to Cancelo meaning our squaddie came on for best part of a half do us much favors at the back?
We stay tight at the top with City losing, but we just have to keep going and we're still plugging away on all 3 fronts and we want that to continue for sure and we'll keep going as long as we can to keep ourselves alive in the competitions, minutes looking on target so we don't have to panic too much so far with who we pick.
Out brilliant form continues with a massive win but this is the most ironic result so far. I was very close to calling it a day (at the end of this season) and maybe still will but wanted to do something different than posting our same sheet week in and week out. It was Tim's Leeds that I looked at for inspiration and some tactical genius, What a turn around with a few wins, a draw against City and to top it all, a win against a side that almost always beat us, Leeds. Did we deserve it looking at the stats? Probably not but we don't care. We move on and maybe my enthusiasm for FFO is renewed!
The opposition surprisingly and for the first time this season played a defensive game for the whole 90 minutes so I believe this qualifies us as playing in a cup final although not a fictitious cup final like they play in Millan. The result was a very sleepy and cold night for our GK and thankfully we got a vital breakthrough thanks to Lus Diaz on the hour mark.
A good win against a side that have had a few good results this season, so always a tricky game. We deserved the win, but it came at a price with Robertson out for one match which is a blow for us. Never mind the squad is stronger than it was, so we will cope. Good game mate.
The first of this seasons North London derbies took place and it was honours even despite the visitors walking away feeling they deserved more than a point which Arsenal can have no arguments with.
Another goal from Joe Gomez put Arsenal in front and at half, despite being second best, many were expecting a decent half time talk and an improved second half but it wasn't the case and they gifted Spurs a goal when Dean Henderson fouled Bergwijn on the edge of the box with many expecting a free kick but a penalty was awarded which was scored by Boadu to make it a point a pice in the derby.
The Arsenal boss spoke after the game ;
" Disappointed to drop points via that way because it didn't look a penalty so we feel hard done by on that. Despite them having more of the game we did keep them at bay until the penalty and did so after it was scored but we could trouble them at the other end but its another point on the board ".
