    Juventus 0 - 5 Real Madrid

A humiliating loss, against a team who were without 3 key players including their GK. The original plan was to stick to our 52003C set up but after realising they'd be playing a 22 rated GK, all out attack was the plan with the thought of 'If we can't score past a 22 rater then something is wrong'......Everything went wrong.

RM played E, probably expecting our tried and tested C and instantly took the lead against TA and switched to N. They added a 2nd on 13 minutes and we never looked like being in the game.

A 3rd on 18 minutes and a 4th before half time had us violently shaking in the corner come the break.

Thankfully they only added 1 more late in the second half but a 5-0 defeat at home isn't what we needed, but it goes to show that even when a squad like RM have to play a 22 rated GK and an 18 rated MF, they're still a big threat that we took lightly I suppose trying to force a rare win vs them.

Statistically it was fairly even but even with 6 shots on target, we didn't score once and they scored 5 of their 9 shots on target.

Good game Steve, the three headed monster survives...Does anyone have what it takes to take it down?

      AC Milan 0-3 Roma

We knew what Roma were going to play, but were helpless as they embarrassed us from start to finish. The strength and depth of the top 3 is too much for most other teams and so it has proven in the last few weeks, losing to every single one of them.

On we go, and we look to start picking up points again after a really tough run of fixtures.

Good game derek, still a long way to go but the top 3 are starting to break away and show they are still leagues ahead

Sporting Lisbon 0 Red Bulls 1

Well I took this substandard team I am caretaking to my old Club Sporting Lisbon and performed an absolute mugging to pull off an unlikely win. I remember the amount of times I got turned over by very weak EFL sides and it used to piss me right off.

Did we deserve the 3 points errrr NO but they are gratefully received.

          Barcelona 2 Bayern Munich 1

Must admit I was expecting to face a 51031C set up here but decided to stick with 523P given who we had available as I still feel it gives us our best chance of success. As it is JB also played P and we quickly led through Jesus who has been off the boil of late. Despite creating the better chances it was later on until we extended our lead but Bayern then got one back in the 83rd minute and that made for an uncomfortable final few minutes viewing. We held on for a much needed 3 points after our feeble defeat at Ibrox last week.

Our next 2 matches are away to Inter. First up is the Champions League and it's win or bust for both of us so we're going to have to produce one of our best displays of the season. Even a win doesn't guarantee anything for us because of the mess we've made of our first 4 fixtures in the competition but it would be nice to finish the group stage strongly irrespective of whether we qualify or not.

Don't think GS will be rolling out the welcome mat given his recent media which probably suits all parties just fine.

            AC Milan 0 3 Roma

We enjoyed paying a visit to the title pretenders and giving them a little footballer lesson. Despite giving away TA & HA the result never felt in doubt.

The truth is Jhop has done a good job getting AC to 4th.

If I was in EFL I'd already have the title in the bag and be 8 points clear. Shows how tough it's going to be to hang on to PSG's coattails.

We'll keep pushing hard and see if we can pull off a minor miracle.

              Celtic 1 - 4 PSG
Our terrible run of injuries and suspensions continued going into this game, with both Bastoni and Tonali suspended. The team picked itself, and the game was seen as another opportunity to just play freely and attack at will. We scored with our second attack inside 4 minutes, and were 2 goals to the good inside 25 minutes. Unfortunately, Costa then had one of his momentary lapses of concentration, and immediately conceded. We continued to dominate, but were unable to restore our two goal cushion before the break. Vitinha got his second of the game on 57 minutes to make the game more comfortable. Not to be outdone, Ramos also got his second in the final 10 minutes, taking his tally for the season to 16, level with his mentor, Haaland, despite seeing 200 minutes less pitch time. With the game safe, we let a couple of subbies get a run out for the last few minutes of the game. The Man of the Match award was a toss up between Ramos and Vitinha, both getting 2 goals from 4 shots, but it was ultimately given to Ramos.
We continue to lead the table, but Roma are a little too close for comfort, especially now it appears that the league title is their only hope of success after several trophyless seasons

                Napoli 0 - 3 Inter Milan

A tricky tie-on paper as Napoli mix it up a lot but we decided to stick to our game plan knowing fine well we could be countered and countered we were but the boys dominated play today and got a much needed win in all honesty in what could have been a difficult fixture, we grabbed two first half goals through Klosterman and Abada and Klosterman from defence grabbed another from defence as we ran out eventually 3-0 winners, it was a good performance with many players rating up but with a tie to Barca in Champions league we need to navigate this fixture with two players our and need to be careful with our approach.

                  Juventus 0 - 5 Real Madrid

I think this game was perhaps first goal wins, and we needed some luck to get the first goal and we got that. It was an even game with the key stat seeming to be Juve being wasteful with their shots off target which protected our weak sub goalkeeper, while we got more of ours on target and was clinical about it. An impressive win from us, but somewhat of a lucky one against the controversial manager Bulldog Bob. "I wasn't even there" it was said to be claimed by AB when told of the thrashing suffered at home to his former club Madrid. Despite being a melt, AB is a good solid manager, who also have 5 league titles with RM, so I won't rub his nose in too much with this win. Good game. I'm praying for similar luck verses PSG midweek, we will need it.
